Arnaud tossed and turned restlessly. Since his last bout with Darien, his dreams had gotten more violent.

He had dared to hope that Kevin had really come back inside of Darien. To be able to talk with him and finally fix the gland in his head would have been wonderful. But, it was not meant to be.

He snapped awake before he could relive Darien throwing him out that window. He threw the covers off and got a glass of water.

The glass chilled over with his touch. It was annoying to not be able to touch anything without the freezing qualities of the quicksilver effecting it.

"Darien doesn't realize how good he has it. Yes, the madness is annoying, but it can be overcome. I can't touch anyone or anything. To be able to see myself, that would be worth everything," he grumbled. "He stole away my chance of being free. Of being normal..."

Arnaud walked past the mirror in the hallway frowning to see nothing in return. His head ached from his lack of sleep. He was so tired...of everything.

An idea sparked in Arnaud's brain. An answer to his problem. He went into the bathroom and rifled through the medicine cabinent. It only took him a moment to find what he needed.

This was the one way he could be visible again. He laughed to himself at the irony of the situation. "Maybe I'll be able to see you again, Kevin," he mused.

It was easier than he ever thought it would be. The first cut was deep and very precise. After a moment his blood became visible on the floor. He smiled at the sight of it. It was odd to be happy about something so grim.

He drew the blade over his other wrist in a swift movement. The razor dropped from his grip as his vision started to dim.

His eyes never stopped looking at the increasing amount of blood that pooled underneath him. His last thoughts were of Kevin, and how he would now be able to join him in that blissful state of everlasting...peace.
