UNSHED TEARS

Nani ga Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu da?
Nani ga Himura Kenshin da?
Ore ha mata...ichibantaisetsu na hito o mamorenakatta...
Kaoru...dono...
Kaoru.
I prayed I wasn't too late,
hoping she had escaped this terrible fate.
Her face passed before my eyes.
"Kaoru-dono! Kaoru-dono!"
The sudden familiar scent...
He told me to mourn, wail, repent,
as I followed the scent of white plums.
"Kaoru-dono! Kaoru-dono!"
He answered my fears.
Called to the unshed tears.
What was my life worth?
I couldn't protect one so filled with mirth.
The one I loved most of all..
To my knees I fall.
And let go the unshed tears.
