I do not own seaQuest or it's characters. I am not profiting form this story, it is for entertainment
purposes only. I use 2004 as the year of birth for Lucas, so he is 15 in this story. This story is a
continuation of the series of stories that I have written.

A House on the Beach
By: Kaitlyn Rose

Nathan drove Lucas and Kristin through the small residential area along the Virginia coast. It was
very beautiful and he couldn't wait to show them his surprise. He drove about another mile down the road
and finally turned into a drive way.

"What are we doing here?" Lucas asked.

"It's the surprise," Nathan said. He got out of the car and waited for Lucas and Kristin to follow
his lead. They got out an looked around. The neighborhood was very fancy and the houses were huge.
Nathan led them to the stairs that led up to the house. It was on stilts since it was so close to the ocean.

"Nathan, who lives here?" Kristin asked.

He pulled a key out of his pocket and opened the door. "We do," he replied.

"What?" both Kristin and Lucas exclaimed.

"Well, I figured that since the tour was over anyway and we were off for the next four months we
might as well have somewhere better to live than on the base."

"So we're going to live here!" Lucas said.

"Yep. It's not to far from the base so we can commute easily enough while the boat is being
repaired, and while you're making the new computer system. Plus, Darwin can come see us everyday, and
there is another surprise to." Nathan pointed to the left and Kristin and Lucas looked over at the house a
few doors down from them. They were amazed to see Katie, Jonathon, Ben, Tim, and Miguel waving back
at them.

"They pooled their money and rented the house over there," Nathan said.

"This is so cool!" Lucas said, waving at his friends.

"I thought you might like it," Nathan smiled. "Wait till you see the inside." He opened the door
and let Lucas and Kristin go in. The house was already fully furnished. The front room was incredibly big
and it had a giant entertainment system with a big screen TV. Several sofas were positioned in front of it.

To the left was the kitchen and breakfast nook. The kitchen was completely modern and sleek. To the
right was the office which held two desks each with their own computer. Towards the back of the house
was the family room and the bedrooms, and there was the added bonus to two full bathrooms.

"Nathan this place is wonderful," Kristin said.

"Thanks, I've rented it for the next four months, so this is were we'll live until it's time for the
next tour."

A knock on the door made them all turn around. The rest of the crew was standing at the door.

"Come on in," Nathan called to them.

"Hey, kid!" Ben said walking in. "So is this great or what. We've got sun, surf, and babes in
bikinis. What more could you possibly want out of life?"

"Ben, you are positively disgusting, you know that?" Katie said, only half teasing.

"Yeah, but ya love me anyway."

"That's why she divorced you," Tim said, laughing.

"Yeah, yeah, what ever. So kid, you want to go swimming?" Ben said.

"Yeah, but I don't have my suit. It's back at the base," Lucas said.

"Not for long," Nathan said. "We're all going to go back and grab our stuff. Then we can go
swimming, and tonight we can have a bar-be-cue."

"Cool," Lucas said. "The next four months are going to be great!"

"Kid, they're going to be better than great. They're going to be stupendous!"
