Part two of _Kuroi Engel_'s Story "Dreams of You", kind of... Please read her's first. DOMO!
I have come so far. Looking back all I see are snowy hills stretching out as if to the ends of the earth. No, I shouldn't look back anymore. Only when I look ahead will I be able to reach my goal. I am cold and hungry, but I keep insisting that my legs continue to carry me. "Just a little farther. I can rest at that town ahead." I promise myself aloud as though breaking the pressing quiet will lend me strength.
Nearly two days I have walked. Many hills I have climbed. My nearly healed wounds sting with sweat. All for her... I didn't want to admit it at first, but she is in me. I love her deeper then I can understand. When she left my side my heart began to crumble in my chest and only she can renew it.
I pull my scarf a little snugger to my face. The yellow wool is stiff from the constant icy gusts. My coat also is coated in ice. I must look odd, like a green and white bell wobbling up the hills with my knee high snow boots and mid-calf coat.
I trip and fall, catching myself with my gloved hands, barely keeping my face from hitting the white powder. A single red feather drifts to the ground in front of me. I look up smiling, only to find I am still alone...No, this feather fell from my hat, not from her wings.
"SIZER!" I can no longer hold in my cry of anguish. I fear I will never find her. I some how press on although I am blinded with tears, clutching all that I have of my love to my heart. I stumble into town and the villagers take me in, thaw me out, and fill me up. I pay them without thought before taking leave to retire to bed.
My sleep is no doubt fitful, but I am more rested then when I arrived so I can't complain. I set out with clean bandages and dry clothes. My heart is sinking in my chest as the sun sink beneath the trees. Then it catches in my throat as I spot something red on the snow ahead.
Forgetting my weariness, I run to the spot. My eyes widen as I discover it is blood. My gaze hastens up to the horizon. I see something dark...Red... "Dear God, no..." My feet carry me quickly through the snow and brambles between the heap and me.
I am treading on red snow, the closer I get, the truer the color. And there is my angel...But the look in her eye is as before. I falter, fear flooding back to me. She had betrayed me...WHY am I following her out here, to die? Were not the wounds she gave me lesson enough that my love could never tame her wild Mozoku soul?
"Raiel?" Her voice is shaky, surprised.
Who wouldn't be? I reasoned with my self. But then her eyes brighten and she smiles sweetly and all of my troubles melt away. "My angel, I need you." I hold out my arms to her. "I love you."
She rises from the ground...Vocal's body lays behind her, hidden until now by her wings. He looks to be at peace. He was so unhappy, perhaps it is better for him.
Then I find her in my arms. I can not hold back my passions and cover her lips with mine. She is surprised but doesn't pull away and after a moment she responds pleasantly. I slip my tongue into her mouth and explore the warm depths. Nothing will take her away from me ever again. I will follow her to hell if necessary. She is mine.
END
