Haha! I have done it! Here's the story behind this random parody: I LOVE the Men At Work song, "Down Under", and I was listening to it one day when I realized that the flute-ish instrument sounded like an Ocarina! Thus, it inspired me to write the Hyrulian version! Of course, the parody is far more enjoyable if you know the song. (Great download song! I highly recommend it.) Please r/r!
HUMOROUS, POETIC DISCLAIMER:
I am a true fan, but I am no jerk
I take no credit from the Men At Work
The same goes for Zelda, so I'll say to you
"It's owned by Nintendo, so now you can't sue!"
"Land Called Hyrule"
Traveling on a worn out ranch mare
On a Gerudo trail, we're going nowhere
I met a thief lady, she made me nervous
She told me of destiny's princess
And she said,
"Do you come from a land called Hyrule
Where women reign and men duel
Did you hear, did you hear Ganon's cruel?
You better run, you better break his rule."
Selling ghosts to a man in Kakariko
He was shadowed, dark, and dearly loved Poes
I said, "Are you dead or are you livin'?"
He just smiled and gave me a transparent grin
And he said,
"I come from a land called Hyrule
Where healing fairies live in pools
Did you hear, did you hear Ganon's cruel?
You better run, you better break his rule."
Lying in a den in Zora Cape
With a slack jaw and not much to say
I said to Ruto, "Are you trying to tempt me?
Because I come from the land of plenty?"
And she said,
"Oh! You come from a land called Hyrule
Where heroes fight and Zelda rules
Did you hear, did you hear Ganon's cruel?
You better run, you better break his rule."
