Chapter 1
"Hello? Anybody? I heard this place was hiring. Any one here?" Maria Morton yelled into an empty bar.
"Down in the basement. Bring a case with ya." A voice yelled from the basement.
Maria grabbed a case and walked down the steps.
The owner of the bar stepped out of a storage room. "I'm Lil. What do you want?"
"I... I heard you were hiring."
"Stick out your arms."
Maria stuck her arms out. Lil nodded.
"Come here tonight around 6. You've got your self an audition." Lil said.
Maria left the bar and went to find an appartment. She got a place. It was a dump, but it was low rent and it was all she could afford. That night, she slid into jeans and a t-shirt. She walked out the door. She walked up to the bar and walked in. She saw 2 girls and Lil, the lady she had spoken to earlier.
"I'm here for an audition."
"Whad you say your name was?"
"Maria"
The bar was starting to fill up now.
Lil grabbed a mega phone. "Hey every body. Shut up! this is our new girl. Her name is Red. She's an ex-writer and ilistrater of children's books. She wants to bring up the number of times shes had sex! So who wants to buy her a drink, huh?"
The crowd cheered. People rushed up.
"I'll have a scotch and water."
"Ok." She pulled up a glass.
"Lil, your new girls servin up scotch and water."
Lil got up on the bar. "Hey people do we serve water in this bar?"
"Hell no H20 Hell no H20."
Rachel sprayed the crowed and the guy.
Maria looked confused.
"If it don't come in a shot, or a long neck bottle, we don't carry it!" Lil told her. Then Lil nodded to Rachel and Cammie and they stood up on the bar, pulling Maria along with them.
They started dancing. Maria joined in.
At the end of the night, they had each mode 250 bucks.
