After Lily and James Wedding

A Very Drunk Sirius!

It was a star strewn night, and at Hogwarts, Lily and James Potter had just been married.  Dumbledore allowed them to use the great hall because of all of Lily and James achievements at the school in the past years.  Lily's bride's maids were, Sky Halo, Eryn white and her maid of honor was Katherine McQuitty. James best man was of course Sirius Black.  It was time for the best man to stand up and make a speech.

"Ahem..." started Sirius as he dizzily up (he had had a few drinks to many) " I am proud to be the best man, it has been… what's that word?" he whispered into James ear

"Umm… maybe be fabulous?" James replied

"Oh yea!! It has been frabulous spending the last few years of my life with these to terrific peoples~ HiC~"

"James what's with Sirius?" Lily questioned, as she looked a Sirius with a sigh.

"I think he's a little tipsy!"

"You mean he's drunk??" she said matter of factly.

 "Yea I think… well actually I kind of hope he is!"

"Me to!" they both silenced and listened to Sirius.

"I have a few things to say to the ~HiC~ happy couple ~HiC~"

"Uh Oh James, looks like trouble!!" Lily stated as she turned to listen to the words of the Very drunk Sirius.

"Did you know that Marriage is a three ~HiC~ ring circus: engagement ring, wedding ring, and… suffering?" A few gasp came from the crowd as Sirius continued, "Before marriage, a man yearns for the woman he loves. After ~HiC~ marriage, the 'Y' becomes silent! And well the other day I was walking ~HiC~ around and I heard some guy talking to his friend and he said, ' I had a few words with my wife…. But then she had a few paragraphs with me!!'  I felt pretty sorry for ~HiC~ that guy, but I know James will be happier then that with Lily the Beautiful ~HiC~ Dandelion!" More gasps from the crowd as Lily looked at James with a sign indicating why did you make Him your Best man it could have been some one else you know!

"Lily, wanna hear a joke??"

"Sure Sirius why not?" she replied

"Well one day Dave went walking on his way back home he ran into his friend Joey, Joey asked ' hey Dave what'ya get that cup of coffee for?' and Dave replied ' I got it for my wife' Joey looked at him with big eyes and said ' good Trade!!!!' that's the end of that joke!! I know you'll make James happier than that and well if there are ever any troubles just come and see me, I have one more thing to say before I sit down and let them get on with it, all I have to say is ' these two did not marry a person that they knew that they could live with; they married someone that they couldn't live without! Cheers to the happy couple!"

Lily thanked Sirius and before she and James left she read a poem that she had written about James!  And it went

"I climbed up the door and opened the stairs,
Said my pajamas and put on my prayers,
Then I turned off the bed and crawled into the light,
All because you kissed me goodnight!

Next morning I woke up and scrambled my shoes,
Picked up my eggs and toasted the news,
I couldn't tell my left from right,
All because you kissed me goodnight!

That evening at last I felt normal again,
So I picked up my mother and called the phone,
I spoke to the puppy and threw Dad a bone,
Even at midnight the sun was still bright,
All because you kissed me goodnight!

I love you James"

He pulled her into a passionate kiss, and that's the end there isn't anymore!!
