We visited his grave,
all the memories you'll save.
You I watched, you I knew.
your eyes dance their magical blue.
I smiled into them,
so I'd never wander again.
You offered a gift
Feelings to sift,
but not right now.
Feelings I'd never allow
were suddenly impossible to ignore.
It's you that it's all for.
The rain came so harsh,
the beach was soon a marsh.
A kind family took us in.
You thought of all places we had been.
And soon realized how little you knew,
I took it for discomfort. Boy, I needed a blue.
I offered to leave,
You ears you couldn't believe.
You forced me to stay.
Under your blanket you lay,
a nightmare on its way.
You woke in a cold sweat,
took a startled breath.
I wasn't there,
didn't I care?
Had I left you again?
Back where we'd been?
You race to the beach,
lost beyond speach.
Clung to my magenta gi,
oblivious to the churning sea.
I extended my hand,
in my palm a wedding band.
To you I offered my life,
Won't you be my wife?
