It was a very windy night. The breeze blew Sakura's hair into her face as she gazed out her window. She brushed it aside with her hand. Sakura could barely prevent the tear that slide down from her eye and coursed across her cheek.

All she could think about was what would happen tomorrow. Syaoran, she thought. How could you go? Don't you love me?

These were stupid thoughts, she knew. How could he love her, when he didn't even know that she secretly loved him. She could tell him, of course, but what if he didn't feel the same way? Sakura didn't think she could handle it if he said "no".

She had been feeling this way for the past four years. Now they were both seventeen and, Li Syaoran, her friend and secret love, would tomorrow leave to go back to Hong Kong.

At the same time Li Syaoran was in his apartment packing. Suddenly he sighed, and began taking all the clothes out that he had just put in his suitcase.

"I can't do this!" he said allowed. I have to tell her, he thought. If she doesn't feel the same way I don't know what I will do.

If she loves me the way I love her, then I will stay here. If she doesn't my destiny lies elsewhere. Although, I don't know how I could live without her, I must somehow manage. Then, on second thought he started packing again, so that if his sweet Sakura refused, then he would leave on schedule. The last thing he packed was a picture of his Cherry Blossom. He looked into those beautiful emerald eyes for, what he suspected, the last time, and closed his suitcase.

The next day:

Sakura hurried on her rollerblades, then skidded to a stop at the outside of the airport terminal. I can't let him leave she thought, I have to tell him! Now is the time, If I don't do it now, I never will. I can't live without those chestnut brown eyes to look into every day. Not only is he my friend but my love, and he deserves to know.

She quickly hurried inside, not knowing what would happen.

Syaoran looked up and down the airport terminal, but she wasn't there. She said that she'd be here to say good-bye, he thought. Maybe……maybe, she doesn't care about me the way I'd hoped. Sadly he got up, then started to make his way toward the boarding bridge. He then heard a voice behind him shouting "Syaoran, wait! Don't go!"

He turned around, his heart skipped a beat. "Sakura! I…I thought you wouldn't come!"

"I had to!" she had reached him now, and thrown her arms around his neck. They embraced quickly, but Syaoran pulled away. "Sakura, before I go I have to tell you…" Sakura looked at him, her bright green eyes full of hope. "I love you." Syaoran finished.

He looked down, not able to meet her eyes.

Sakura couldn't believe that she had heard the words from him that it seemed she had always been waiting for. I can't believe it, she thought, he felt the same way all along.

She tilted his head upward so she could look into his clear amber eyes. "Syaoran, I love you too!" Never in all her life would Sakura forget the look on his face. The look didn't last long though, because Syaoran swept her up in his arms and the two card captors kissed.

Syaoran's luggage and boarding pass sat forgotten on the floor. I won't need them, Syaoran thought, as he came out of the kiss, my life is with Sakura Kinomoto.
