-This story takes place between the first movie and the second movie-
INTRO: It has been a couple years since Rick and Evy had first destroyed the mummy Imhotep and they both just wanted to put that behind them. They already have a baby due in a couple months and after the baby is born they both just want to sit back forget everything a raise their baby like a normal kid. Even though they both know their will be nothing stopping their baby from loving Egypt as much as they do themselves.
One morning, Evy was trying to tidy up things. Even though she was due in a couple months.
"Honey, what are you doing…you shouldn't be bending up and down and cleaning. You're not in good shape to do that," Rick said pleadingly.
"Oh I'm not in good shape am I…." Evy said while smiling.
"No you're not…." Rick answered as he walked up and kissed her on the cheek.
Just then someone knocked on the door.
"I'll get it." Rick said as he walked towards the door. As he got closer he could see the outline of someone he knew, someone he knew that was pretty close in a relationship with their family. He opened the door. It was Ardeth Bay.
"Ardeth, what going on…Hey!" Rick said as he hugged Ardeth.
"Nothing I was in town and I thought I might check up on you too." Ardeth answered.
"Ardeth is that you…?" Evy questioned as she walked as fast as she could to the door.
"Yes, it is…How are you doing?" Ardeth asked.
"Fine, Fine, I guess…" Evy said then looked over at Rick. Ardeth saw the glance too and smiled.
"So, Ardeth what's going on?" Rick asked.
"Nothing I just thought I stop in and check on you too," Ardeth answered.
"We are doing fine," Evy answered.
"Come in…" Rick said as he motioned inside the house.
"Oh, that's ok, I just came to check on you two and chat I little," Ardeth said. "But there is one thing I wanted to ask you…is the baby a boy or a girl?"
"The doctor thinks it a boy," Rick said with a smile.
"Good! Well I better be getting along," Ardeth said as he started to walk back down the stairs.
Evy looked at Rick who was just watching him walk away and gave him a stern look and turned back to Ardeth and said "Ah…Ardeth, you take care ok?"
Ardeth nodded and walked away.
"I hope we see him again some day," Evy said.
"Oh…don't worry, we will. I know we will," Rick answered and they both walked back in the house.
