Disclaimer: Ok, I know I have to write a disclaimer, so here it is. I do not own Atlantis: The Lost Empire or any of it's characters. They belong to Disney. Now that I'm done with that, on with the story!
RIIING!! RIIING!!
"Oh, be quiet. I'm awake," I muttered, reaching over to turn off my alarm clock. It rang one last time, I guess to make sure I had really woken up. "As useful as this thing is, it can get really annoying," I said, thinking outloud.
"Audrey! Are you awake?" my dad called from the bottom of the staircase.
"Si, Papa!" I replied.
"Alright. Get dressed and have breakfast, and then come to the shop."
"Ok! Are you leaving now?" I called back, grabbing my gloves and hat off the bedside table.
"Si! I have to get to the shop as soon as possible," he replied.
"Ok, Adios!"
A minute later I heard the front door open and close. I quickly finished getting dressed and ran downstairs to grab an apple for breakfast. I ate the apple hurriedly and picked up my toolbox on the way out the door.
I soon reached the repair garage that my father and I ran. I walked through the door and literaly ran into Carlos, a boy about my age that helped out at the garage.
"Oops, sorry," I said quickly. "I wasn't watching where I was going."
"No problem. I was just about to come get you," he replied.
"Why? Does something need a repair that you can't handle?" I teased.
"No, actually, your dad wanted you to go see what was wrong with Mr. Isaacson's car. It broke down, and we don't have time to find a way to get it to the shop."
"Ok. Tell Papa I'm going down to check it out now."
It took me about five minutes to walk to Mr. Isaacson's house.
"Hola, Mr. Isaacson," I called out.
"Hello, Audrey," he said, poking his head out from his car's window. "I just can't figure out what's wrong with this car."
"Why don't I have a look at it? I can probably figure it out," I offered.
I walked over to the car and looked it over. "Here's the problem," I said, using my wrench to tighten a few bolts. "It should work fine now."
"Thank you. How much will that cost?" Mr. Isaacson asked.
"No charge. It was no big deal," I told him. "Just a few loose bolts."
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"Yes, I'm sure. I should probably get back to the shop now." I replied. "Adios, Mr. Isaacson."
"Goodbye."
Back at the shop, business was slow, so Carlos and I talked throughout most or the day. Soon, It was time to close the shop and go back home.
When I got back into my room, I reached over and set the alarm clock once again. I knew tomorrow it would wake me up again to go to the shop. I turned out the light and got into my bed. Today had been a pretty good day.
