"If Only"

I awoke thinking of what had taken place prior to this new morning. I was bewildered by those events. I was tired, weak, and clumsy, and did not feel the need or will to arise from my bed. When I had the exertion to open my eyes, I noticed that Nyokimon was not in the bed that she slept in every night.
Then I realized the events last night, and tried to grab the startling concept " No wonder she wasn't there". A tear ran down my face as I began to cry, as I remembered that Nyokimon was gone forever. I knew that I would never see her again.
She was only trying to protect me. She always cared for me, when I needed her aid. No longer would she be there to hear me babble about my horrid life, no longer would the cause of my awakening be the pain of her pounce. I wish that some how I could reverse time, so that I could change the existence of her presence that night, if only! My Friend, and Digimon Partner, who I would never see again!
If Only, I had realized that she couldn't have taken him, I should have stopped her. She would still be here with me, and she would be in her bed sleeping. Only if, the others had helped her, all they did was stand there and watch her die, why didn't they help, if they did she still may have been alive today. If Only.
