Davis Discovers Soap
How Daisuke Discovered the Thing That Cleans
Daisuke sat in the bathtub complaining. "I hate baths. It's so hard to clean up with just this water and the wash cloth."
"Then use the freakin' soap!" screamed his sister, Jun.
"Soap? Watchoo talkin' 'bout, Jun?"
"I'm talking about the bottle on the side of the bathtub."
"What? This?" Daisuke had always thought that that bottle was fruit punch; he drank it all the time. "Uh, Jun? What happens if you eat that stuff?"
"Then your stomach will be very clean- I don't know."
"Clean?" asked Daisuke.
"Yes, dummy! You clean yourself with it. You just rub it on your body and- Oh I don't have time for you. I have to go to the library with Hal Wildharbor. He and I will be signing copies of our books." Jun ran out of the hall and out the door towards the library.
Daisuke looked at the bottle of soap. He decided to see how it worked. He picked up the bottle and read the label.
"Apply soap to skin and scrub gently. Use a wash cloth for best results. Warning: do not get in eyes or swallow. Whoops!"
Daisuke popped the top off and squirted the soap in his hands. Doing exactly as the label said, he lightly scrubbed his body. Unsure of weather he was clean or not, he got out of the tub and looked at himself in the mirror. He saw bubbles covering his body, and that it was remarkably clean.
"WOW! AMAZING! I HAVE TO CALL TAKERU!" Daisuke rushed to the phone and dialed Takeru's number.
"Yes?" Yamato's voice came.
"TNN, listen I- Yamato? You're not TQ."
"No, I'm Yamato, visiting. What's up?"
"I just wanted to tell TJ about my latest discovery: soap."
"Soap? You call that a discovery?"
"Yeah, I-" the phone slipped out of Daisuke's hand because of the soap.
"Yipe," said Daisuke as he tried to grab it. He tried to pick it up from the floor, but it slipped out of his hands again. He ran after it, but his soapy feet made him slide clear across the room, and out the window.
"Daisuke? Hello?" Yamato called.

Jun walked home with an aching arm. She had signed 200 copies of her book, "Chrissy, Eric, and My Brother." She stopped when she saw a body lying outside her living room window, wearing only a towel.
"Oh my God! Daisuke is dead!"
Daisuke's body jumped up and said, "He is? Oh no!" Daisuke was alive, to Jun's relief.
Jun ran over to him and took him inside. "What happened?" she asked.
"It was that evil soap!" exclaimed Daisuke. "The soap took the phone from my hands and threw me out the window! I'm never touching that stuff again!" At that moment, Daisuke hunched over and vomited.
"Ugh, I'm not eating it, either."
