The sky is black as black,
A good night not to be caught in the act.
I wonder how could he do this?
All I wanted was a kiss.

As I watch the crimson drop to the floor,
He gasps and I turn to the door.
How long had he been there watching me?
The look in my eyes told him it was meant to be.

He runs to me to stop the flow,
Telling me not to go.
His begging and pleading cries
Are all that kept me alive.

Then he told me the one word I needed to know,
He told me that he loved me so.
