Izzy and Kari paired up to go to China and meet with the
digidestined there.
They rod on the bus and looked at the scenery.
"China's rather nice," Kari commented, "don't you think so, Izzy?"
"Uh, yeah," he muttered.
"I wonder if we'll get to see the Great Wall," she
said, looking the street over.
"Uh, yeah."
Kari sighed and looked at him, "okay, Izzy, what's wrong?"
"Huh?"
She smiled, "you don't fool me, Izzy."
"No," he whispered, turning his gaze.
"Did you want to go somewhere else on the world tour?" she asked.
He shook his head, "no, China's fine."
"Then what's the matter?" she questioned, a little
ticked.
"Sorry, Kari," he said, "Just got a lot on my mind."
"Yeah," she sighed, "Arukenimon and Mummymon sure had made a mess of things, didn't they?"
"That's right."
"There's nothing to worry about, Izzy," she said
cheerfully, "look on the bright side, we get to go around the world to
meet other digidestined!
He tried to be as enthusiastic, "yeah, I'm sure they'd like to hear my many theories."
She smiled and looked at the buildings as the bus continued
to roll down the road.
If you want to know if a girl likes you, don't ask
her.
"Hey--Kari?" he mumbled, taking his gaze from his feet.
"Yeah, Izzy?" she looked at him.
He swallowed at forced the words from his tongue, "D-do you think Yolei likes me?"
Kari smiled and giggled, "What?"
"Well, you're her best friend, aren't you?" he interrogated.
'Great,' she thought, 'the ask her friend strategy.' She
almost swallowed her tongue.
"She doesn't, does she?" Izzy asked, his face solemn.
"I didn't say that," she said quickly.
He sighed pitifully.
"Come on, Izzy," she nudged him playfully, "she got you that neat dishtowel, remember?"
"Yeah," he forced a smile, "she did."
"So, what are you so worried about?" she demanded.
He shrugged, "Well, Kari, I guess I--" he sighed,
unable to finish.
"Listen, Izzy, Yolei does like you and I know you like
her," she said, "so when we get back to Japan why don't you just talk
to her and get it out of your system?
"How?"
"Just, well, talk to her!" Kari said, "I've seen you two together."
Izzy rustled his hair; "I'm not sure…what if I make her mad at me?"
"Don't you think it's worth the risk?" Kari asked,
"Come on, Izzy, go for it!
Izzy smiled, "You've got a point.
"Of course she does," she laughed.
"Hmm, you're right, Kari.
"That's what I like to hear!" she giggled and
looked around, "Hey, Izzy?
Izzy took in a gasp, studied a brochure and looked at Kari, "I don't know!"
