Zelda: Links Legacy
Prologue: End of a Legend
It was a cold winter on the day and snow covered the ground. Link was standing in the snow, his wife Malon and his kids Link the Second and Saria (named after his childhood friend). They Link the Second was 2 years old and Saria was 3 years old, despite the name Link the Second had a reddish brown hair like his mother and Saria had golden hair like Link. Across from Link was the ultimate evil, Ganon in all his might. Ganon had stolen the Triforce of Wisdom from Zelda and was after the Triforce of Courage, which Link held. The family had been playing in the snow at the time. Link had no idea Ganon was free again.
So now the two enemies faced each other in the snow, fear filled Links face for he had not battled Ganon for a few years he knew the end was inevitable. He sheathed the master sword which he had kept ever since a better spell for keeping Ganon in the Sacred Realm had been found. He pulled out his Mirror Shield, and unknown to Ganon was hiding Din's Fire behind it. Ganon wielded nothing; he was big and strong. He was a monster and could easily take down Link, or so he thought.
Link ran at Ganon with his sword trying to run him through, but Ganon tossed Link over his shoulder. Ganon shot a ball of dark energy at Link, which hit him in the right arm. The arm had been taken completely off, along with Link's secret weapon.
Meanwhile someplace far away something else was beginning to occur. The three goddesses were feeling rather funny; for once they actually felt pain. They couldn't tell what was happening to them. All they knew was something bad was going to happen to them soon.
Malon ran up to Link with some grass for bandage's to keep him from bleeding to death. After applying them Link got back up, his shoe touched Din's fire as he motioned to Ganon with his hands to come and get him. Ganon ran at him; though he was suspicious about Link he had no idea about Din's Fire. As he got within a few feet the stone became visible to Ganon but it was too late. An orb of flame engulfed him but in his last move his flaming hand slammed into Link full force. Ganon dissolved, leaving only the two pieces of the Triforce.
The goddesses were feeling even more pain than before; suddenly the ground around them began to shake. Monstrous red dragons popped up from the ground, more powerful than the goddesses. While fearing the end, the goddesses would fight to the last second.
Link lay in the snow for a while; the blood turned the snow red. He was about to die; there was no way to stop it. He stumbled over to the Triforce and decided to make his final dream come true. He wished for a land that didn't need the hero of time to protect it, a Hyrule that could protect itself. He would rather destroy all evil, but not even the Triforce had that much power. Light flashed and the Triforce flew into the air.
The goddesses were approaching their end as well. They could no longer fight the dragons and each shattered into three pieces and died.
The Triforce was about half way through granting the wish when each piece shattered into three pieces as well. They scattered throughout Hyrule and the wish was only partially made. At the exact instant Link's spirit left his body, he had a spiritual journey to fulfill now though he didn't know it at the time. And come 7 years, him and his legacy would have to save everything.
