Jeff Hardy stood in the kitchen putting the finishing touches on dinner. He was excited and nervous. His girlfriend Leah was coming over for dinner. He wanted everything to be perfect. It was going to be a very special night.
The doorbell rang, he ran his fingers through his hair, and nervously wiped the palms of his hands on his black jeans.
He opened the door "Wow, Leah! You look great!" She was wearing a blue silk blouse and a black skirt, her long wavy red hair was piled loosely on top of her head.
"Thanks Jeffy, you look great too!" She kissed him lightly as he took her hand. He led her to the table and pulled out the chair for her, ever the gentlemen.
He served her dinner and stared at her in the candlelight. She was without a doubt the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. He couldn't believe his luck in finding such a great girl!
He cleared the table while she watched him. 'He's being awfully quiet tonight' she thought to herself, wondering why the usually hyper Jeff was so subdued.
He came back in the dining room and held out his hand to her... "Dance with me?"
He turned around and pushed the play button on the stereo, the strains of the song he had picked out wafted through the room. He took her in his arms and held her tight.
