Released,
I fly away
To amethyst and twists of chestnut
In a small spaceport in front of a gate a man, not much more then a boy, with a long braid, waits. The gate door opens to reveal another young man with unruly brown hair and cobalt eyes carrying a suitcase in one hand and a laptop case in the other.
"Duo"
"Heero"
They stare at each other, then the braided boy launches himself at the blue eyed one and throws his arms around Heero. Heero tenses then relaxes, dropping his gear and uncertainly raising his arms to rest on Duo's shoulders.
"I missed you" Duo whispered
The other man doesn't reply, just leans closer, winding Duo's braid around his fist, pulling him into a kiss.
The two pilots stand in front of a window into outer space. The image of their passionate kiss has a backdrop of the stars.
Somewhere else, in a sunlit room, a woman with long blonde hair gazes out of her window wistfully.
This is forever.
