Disclaimer: DBZ is NOT mine!!! If it was I would be rich and swimming a pool full of pudding.
Those who do not like Vegeta are advised not to read this story as it is all about him and the planet Vegeta.
"FATHER!!!" my son woke me from thought in the midst of our training.
"What is it child?"
"Can I go inside now I'm hungrey."
I frowned normally I would not have let him go. But today was different. "Go you are dissmissed for today but do not expect the same tomorrow."
"Thanks dad!" he ran through the door and to the kitchen. I walked slowly through the gravity room door and observed the sky. There it was where Vegeta use to be. Today would have been the 25th anniversary of it's destruction. And of my father's.
I had prepared for this date. Today was the day I would have assumed the throne. The day my father would step aside. A happy day if there was one. I was the King of the Saiyans now.
"The king of what one dumbass and three half-breeds?" I asked to no one in particular. I'm losing my edge.
I took to the air and flew to a stream I knew and examined my appearance. I was so much like him. Scratch the beard and the brown hair, but mine had darkened over time anyway. Is this what my son from the future felt like? Every time he was looking in the mirror he saw a dead person? Or did Bulma even show him what I looked like. But I hadn't left him with a burden like my father. I didn't tell him his race depened on me. The Trunks from the future took it apon himself to kill the androids, out of desire for peace not out of lust for power.
"Vegeta if Freiza should kill me you will become a super saiyan and tear him apart."
It was more of an order than a request. I tried so hard not to cry when my father died. It was one of the few things I succeeded in over the next few years.
At one point I felt super saiyan could not be obtained, it was impossible after all it was just a myth. Then Kakkarot. Stupid, bumbling, idiotic Kakkarot came and turned himself into a super saiyan. The thought that he reached it before me even today makes me sick. I stared at my reflection again. I miss him.
The wind blew swiftly and I knew what I had to do. "Father I'm sorry I dissapointed you. I tried, I miss you father and I wish you were here."
The wind died and I looked to my blurred reflection. "Good-bye father."
Awwwwwwwww now wasn't that sweet. Well I hope you enjoyed it. :-D.
