Sonny entered the dark newly furnished Penthouse. After a long night of being harassed by Taggert and talking to Angel he was wiped out he planed going to bed once he reached his room. As he entered the master bedroom and laid on his bed he felt something prick his neck. He quickly sat up and turned to see what it was. There on his pillow was a white rose with thorns on it and an envelope underneath it. He carefully picked up the rose and laid it on the nightstand. He opened the envelope and two rings dropped out of the letter inside. Recognizing the rings he unfolded the letter and began to read.

Dear Sonny

Tonight as I stopped by Luke's I saw you with her. At first I was hell bent on making a scene like you wouldn't believe. But something stopped me. As I watched from the entrance she lowered her face and I saw how gentle you were lifting her head so that she could look at you. I swear I felt a part of me die, when I saw that. Just a small gestures but still an impressionable one.

All this time I have been fighting to keep what was never mine. I don't doubt that you might have loved me in your own way. And perhaps that's why this might be easier for me.

You couldn't forgive my mistakes and honestly you shouldn't have to be tied down with someone that constantly either puts you in jail unintentionally or gets you in more trouble than what you already have to go through. I've said it before and I'll say it again I'm sorry, truly sorry for all the pain and trouble I've caused you.

I know you've told me time and time again that we are through, and up until tonight I wouldn't agree with you, but tonight I realized you were right. We are through.

So that I can have some Sanity Sonny I would rather have nothing to do with you or anything you've given me. I gave Laura all my shares at Deception. I would have given them to you but this was my Aunts dream and I don't want her to have to worry about someone questioning her or taking away her business.

All the money and savings you gave me are currently being transferred back to you're accounts. Thanks to Jason, Michael and I can live in comfort for the rest of our lives. If you wish to sees Michael tell Leticia, and she'll arrange an outing. If you want him to go to your home I would prefer no one but you was there (no women, but Leticia).

If I see you it would be best if we acted as if we did not know each other. It's easier for me to pretend we never happened. I loved you Sonny I truly did and for a time you had me fooled because I thought you loved me too.

Tears fell from Sonny's face, He knew but perhaps he didn't know her as well as he thought the letter really sounded final could Carly really have given up on him? Did he go too far? Angel didn't mean anything to him but Carly, Carly with her schemes and lies had become everything to him. What had he done ? What had he done?
