I do not own Digimon or the song 'I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus' by Tommie Connor. This fic is set around Season 01 and is taken from Kari's POV.

In Odaiba it was the night of Christmas Eve,

All the children wondered what they would receive,

From happy old Santa who would ride on his slay,

Bringing presents to children from night 'til day.

And so that night in my room I tried to sleep,

But with my snoring old brother I couldn't fall asleep,

Then all of a sudden I heard a loud thump,

Coming from outside, it was followed by a bump.

I got up from my bed and thought of waking Tai,

But if really I did, he'd think my hearings of noises were nothing but a lie,

And so I left the room as quietly as I could,

Trying not to trip or make a creak on the floor of wood.

In my living room I surprisingly saw a yellow shiny light,

So glittering it was, my eyes grew bright,

I slowly tip toed towards the place,

Where the light continued to shine in my face.

I heard a familiar laugh and I knew who it was,

I couldn't believe that I was going to actually see Santa Claus,

But when I slowly peeped my head,

Into the room, I found a terrible shock instead.

There was Sora, standing with Santa,

With blushy cheeks, and giggling with laughter.

She was dressed in her white gown smiling with joy,

Hoping for Santa, to give her a sweet soft toy.

When Santa reached down his giant sack,

I really wondered if he could see me behind his back,

But I guess he couldn't for he made no reaction,

I decided not to move and make any sudden action.

And when finally Santa found what he was after for,

He took out his hand and there I saw,

A giant cuddly white tiger soft toy just for the girl of eleven years,

Sora smiled and began to shed tears.

She hugged the toy with all her might,

And to what I saw it was a very cute sight,

And then to my amazement my entire body went numb,

When I suddenly saw Sora do something that no other kid has ever done…….

'I saw Sora kissing Santa Claus,

Underneath the mistletoe last night.

She didn't see me there,

Though St. Nick gave me quite a scare,

I didn't realize he was so big,

To shout I wouldn't dare.'

'Then, I saw Sora tickle Santa Claus,

Underneath his beard so snowy white;

Oh, what a laugh it would have been,

If Tai had only seen,

Sora kissing Santa Claus last night.'

And when it was time for Santa to depart,

Sora waved at him with a warm hearted heart,

I heard the jingling of bells on Santa's slay,

And it slowly dimmed as Santa went far away.

'I saw Sora kissing Santa Claus,

Underneath the mistletoe last night.

She didn't see me there,

Though St. Nick gave me quite a scare,

I didn't realize he was so big,

To shout I wouldn't dare,

Then, I saw Sora tickle Santa Claus,

Underneath his beard so snowy white;

If Tai had only seen,

Sora kissing Santa Claus last night.

I quietly tip toed back to my bed,

Trying not to giggle I went all red,

I couldn't believe of what I had just seen,

And if I were to tell Tai, he'd really be wondering where I had been,

But that night I managed to get rest,

And I wished that Santa got me the presents, I desired best.
