Quatre Winner stared out the window, as rain pelted his window and the wind howled. I'll never forget you . . .

Quatre was sitting in a plush chair, calmly sipping on a cup of tea. His fourth cup that morning. He liked tea, he couldn't help it. He gazed serenely out the window of his mansion.
Another jagged bolt of lighning lit up the sky in a flash of purple and blue. Rain poured down from the heavens, cleansing the earth. Dark clouds twisted in the black sky.
Duo Maxwell stormed into the room, upset over something, his braid flinging around wildly.
"Quatre, I-"
"No, Duo. We can't. I know you want to tell the others but-well, yesterday, I tried to tell the others. I mentioned something about yaoi. Trowa gave me an odd look, Heero just stared at me and Wufei started ranting about rights and wrongs and sins-he sounded like a priest! I just don't think it's a good idea."
"Quatre, I want to tell them."
"You can't, Duo."
"If-if you won't tell the others, I guess that means you really don't care about me or us. It's-it's over, Quatre!" Duo stalked out of the room.
Quatre felt the china cup lip between his fingers to the floor and shatter into tiny fragments. A dark liquid leaked over the carpet and stained it. His violet eyes darkened with hurt and anguish.
Duo swung his leg over his motorcycle and revved off. He tore out of the driveway. Hurt and anger warred in his mind. The anger won as he sped down the highway, faster and faster. His thoughts tumbled over one another until all he felt was a harsh, deep anger. At Quatre, at the others and at himself for leaving Quatre like that.
Gods, I'm such an idiot. I know Quatre loves me. Why did I have to run off like that?
A car horn blared loudly as Duo jerked back to reality.
"Oh, damn."
The car swerved into his motorcycle sending it spinning off the road. Duo let out a yell as his vehicle dove into a ditch and he flipped off it and slammed into a tree, landing in a heap.
Quatre was panicking. Where was Duo? He scanned the road for the familiar motorcycle. He swore to himself as he spotted the vehicle in a trech by the side of the road. He screeched to a halt in the middle of the highway. Several cars blared their horn at him but he ignored it. He raced down the ditch and scrambled back up.
"Duo! Oh, Duo!" he cradled his lover to him.
"Hey, man."
"I'm sorry, Duo."
"I'll second that." "Duo, I don't care if the others know. Let them. It doesn't matter who knows. All that matter is you."
"It's all right, Quatre. I understand."
"Duo, I . . . ai sheteru."
Duo smiled ever so sweetly at his lover.
"Ai sheteru."

I remember the first time I admitted my feelings for you. It was a bright, sunny day. You were joking around. Your face lit up and you were laughing so freely. Your blue eyes were so beautiful, like shining gems. We were really good friends. I guess I couldn't admit I liked you because I was shy. I wanted to tell you so bad but I was scared of rejection.
I thought you'd laugh at me and hurt me but you didn't. In the end it was you
gone that hurt me most. I'll always remember you as the funny, kind person you were. I still think of you every day. It's been almost two years. People always say that as time goes on, it gets better but it doesn't. It just gets worse. I miss you. You were half of my heart and all of my soul.
Ai shiteru, Duo. Ai shiteru.
