Note: I heard the WTC remix of Enrique Eglasias "Let me be your Hero" After I finished crying, I wrote this fic based on the lyrics in the chorus.

Alanna lay on her sleep couch, staring up at the ceiling. Two days…It was only two days ago. Turning over, she closed her eyes, her mind haunted by the images she had seen…….

Two Days Before…

Alanna and Obi-Wan walked hand in hand to the Room of a Thousand Fountains. Talking and laughing, they entered and head4ed for their favorite place for there morning meditation. Sitting down the two closed their eyes…….BOOM!!! An explosion rocked the chamber sending the two young Jedi slamming against a wall. Alanna panicked and looked around. She was shocked at the sight she saw. People….Jedi lay sprawled all over the chamber. Many were dead…..even more were injured. The carnage was unbelievable. She heard the cries of masters whose young padawans lives were ripped from them in a matter of seconds, and the padawans whose bonds with their masters severed and left with an empty space. The disturbance in the Force was monumental. Waves of pain, panic, and sorrow ripped through Alanna live knives…death…desctruction…misery…

Alanna's eyes flew open and she cried out in terror. That day…every detail was etched in her mind. Looking out her window she saw the sun had set. She had fallen asleep. Curling up she began to sob. It was too much….she couldn't handle it….

"Alanna?" Alanna looked up to see Obi-Wan standing at the doorway. "Are you alright? I heard you crying…" Obi went over to Alanna and drew her into his arms.

"It hurts Obi….it hurts…" She clung to him and sobbed into his tunic.

"I know my love…I know….It's going to…." Stroking her hair and rocking her gently, he did his best to help. " It was a terrible terrible thing that happened. The pain won't go away unless you let it out into the Force. I'm here for you. I can help," Kissing the top of her head, he offered everything he could. "We can get through this together. You'll never have to stand alone. I'll stand by you forever. I promise."

Alanna quieted and looked up at him, her violet eyes bloodshot. "Why? Why would anyone do this? Kill all those innocent people? They did nothing to them."

"I can't answer you that. I wish I could Alanna, I truly do. But I myself don't understand it all. Master Qui-Gon is meeting with the Council to find out who would do such a thing. But until we find out, we have to be brave and strong."

Nodding, Alanna snuggled into Obi-Wan's warm embrace. "So tired….."

"Rest now my love."

"Stay with me?"

"Always."
