The Solo family welcomes a new member. 26 years post OT, AU. This is a fairly plot free character vignette only meant to cleanse the palate for those of us who didn't like the way H/L played out in TFA. I don't know if it will fit into the larger AU I want to develop based on "The Battle of Coruscant," my last FF. Some of the things hinted at in it will be part of that AU.

Ben has heard the tales of Anakin since he was a child, and the stories have always fascinated him. He envies the power the man wielded, so great that it inspired the fear of a whole galaxy. He's never been able to decide whether it was strength or weakness that led his grandfather to betray the emperor, but he hopes that someday he's as widely remembered as Darth Vader.

Reylo AU the world exists with magic, the sides of good and bad rush to obtain or destroy potential magic wielders, because without magic, the world won't advance. some things similar to cannon, others not. no relation in this story.

This fic is a Rylo paring in which Rey is not Luke's daughter or related to Kylo in any way. This fix starts off where they were fighting on Starkiller Base and instead of Rey leaving, she is captured and ends up training with Kylo. Rey will have to ultimately decide if she will follow Kylo down his dark path, or carve her own.
