SUMMARY: What if Mary hadn't been faking…
PAIRINGS: Mary/Dracula
AUTHOR'S NOTES: "Dracula 2000" was the beast movie I have ever seen, and I never really did like Simon (as cute as he is), so when I rented it (*finally*--I thought it was never going to be in) this idea hit me like a 2x4. Enjoy! Oh, and, if possible, listen to Rob Zombie's "Living Dead Girl" while reading.
FEEDBACK: Yes! Of course! Gimme all ya got!
DISCLAIMER: Sadly, Dracula does not belong to me. *sob*

"Save some for us, Mare."

Mary moved closer to Simon and ignored his whispered pleas.

"Mary, don't."

She sank her razor-sharp fangs deep into his jugular, drinking the life from him. At the last minute, she pulled back. Lucy wiped away the blood trailing from the side of her mouth.

"Thanks, Luce."

Mary walked to where Simon's weapon lay and, removing the dagger, walked before stopping in front of Dracula. She held the dagger between them.

His hand covered hers on the hilt. She looked up into his eyes.

"I'd like his head. Vampire or not, he won't stop hunting us now."

In response, he placed her other hand on the dagger's handle.

"He's yours to end."

Mary placed a small kiss on his cheek before turning back to Simon. She watched as the others untied him and made him kneel.

"Oh, Simon…" She shook her head and placed the blade above the back of his neck. She pulled back her arms and swung down with all of her might.

She stared dispassionately as Simon's head fell from his shoulders and rolled on the ground. Licking the blood from the blade, Mary turned back to look at her creator. She went to him and, just before placing her lips upon his, whispered, "Blood of my blood."
