An Absolution An Absolution

Capturing me with your presence.

Your aura - indescribable.

The melodic tune of your violin playing,

Echoes through the deep chambers of my heart and mind.

I remember the day we met.

Your face pressed against the poster on the wall.

Eyes closed, face serene.

A content smile touching your lips.

Who was that girl? I had asked myself.

Flowing dark hair, mesmerizing eyes, youthful grace -

Captured in a still picture frame.

I have longed to understand you,

But your action and words,

Makes it excruciatingly hard.

Now, another season has nearly passed.

The leaves - beginning to fall.

Paves the path towards autumn.

And like those leaves from the trees,

You have fallen from my reach - gone, never looking back.

Yet I think to myself,

Were you ever mine to lose?

It's true.

My heart aches with some longing - some pain.

But as long as you're happy now,

Meeting you, knowing you...losing you

I have no regrets.
