Watching Her...

A slight breeze blew and pushed back her long hazelnut colored hair. Most of it was tied back in a ponytail like fashion. Despite this, a few short strands hung down and framed her face. Her training uniform was that of a green color. She also had red wristbands on.

"Sutea.." I mumbled.

I always watched her here in the forest. It was around 5am. Apparently she wanted to train before anyone else got up for the day. This was a constant thing, early to bed and early to rise was for this girl. She had only started this two weeks ago, but kept on task for this long period of time.

The sun was now coming up. Her light brown eyes seemed like reflecting pools as she faced the sunrise. It made them sparkle and also showed that she was full of energy. I always wondered how a skinny girl like that could be so dedicated to the martial arts. Her muscles were not visible to the naked eye, but if you saw her moves you could tell she had them.

It was then she started; kicks and punches were being thrown into the air. A sneer crossed over her face. Her moves were quick and graceful. They often made me wonder if she was dancing on the wind, instead of actually training. I knew better though.

It was then that I heard a small groan. I looked over to see that Sutea had somehow cut her lip. As she raised her hand to wipe away the blood, I could see that her face held something other than pain, but I couldn't place my finger on it. She only nonchalantly wiped the blood from her mouth from her mouth and continued training.

After about an hour and a half of this, she stopped and climbed to the top of a rock. By the way she looked you could tell she was meditating. Sutea sat in the classic lotus position, with her eyes closed. I saw them spring open and look in my direction, I then looked to my feet and saw that I had snapped a twig. A low growl rose from my throat for interrupting her. She looked directly at me and motioned for me to come over. I walked toward her, climbed up the rock, and sat beside her.

A warm smile crossed her face as she brushed back my lilac colored hair with her hand. She always noticed how some of the strands hung down over my eyes. Although I had grown accustomed to it, I let her do so. I held out my arm, and encouraged her to lean against me to rest. She took the invitation, and gently leaned her head against me and closed her eyes.

"A perfect ending to a perfect morning." I whispered in her ear.
