Heart and Soul

Chapter 1

About Midnight

"Aargh!" Relena shrieked. She had been sitting on her balcony in her nightgown; hugging the teddy bear Heero gave her (big surprise!), reading the poem she had just written, as well as staring at the bright moon. It felt good writing it, but now - well, it was stupid. (Which I personally do not believe because I wrote the poem! Bwahahahaha! I like it, and hopefully you will too!)

Relena threw the paper over the balcony edge and stormed back into her room, slamming the doors
behind her.

A young man in his early twenties picked up the fallen poem. The first part read:

Heart and Soul
By Relena Peacraft
Dedicated to Heero Yuy

"Wow," he thought, "she dedicates her poems to me." He read on.

You are my heart,
You are my soul.
I hold you here,
And I'll never let go.
Your gentle touch,
Warms my soul.
I need you here,
You can't go.

Please don't break
My heart and soul.

Heero (well, you already knew who it was) stared at Relena's beautiful handwriting. "I never knew how much she really cared," he said to himself softly. Heero gently folded up the poem and placed it in his left jacket pocket, silently walking away.
