Jyou Ahem..
Do I have to say it?__
Jyou::Shows him a peice of paper with many many numbers::
Good lord O__o ! As you know, wishful thinking rarely comes true. So..no, I don't own digimon.
This is from Ken's P.O.V
I hope he's alright, this is all my fault! I didn't mean what I said! Really! What if my parents blame me for this ? I could barely think straight. My mind was shattered jigsaw puzzle, with trembling hands trying to put the peices back together. The day had been going fine. I was in class, reading off in a corner. That's when the teacher came up to me, and said my parents were waiting for me outside of the class room. My mom's face was burried in my dad's shoulder, her entire body was shaking uncontrolaby. My dad, someone who is usually strong and mind mannered, was now looking stoic and uncertain. "Ken, your brother..he was in an accident..' I didn't need my dad to finish. My face paled instantly. My eyes clouded over, trying to hide the rising guilt that festered inside of me. It was all my fault. I had to go and wish for him to never come back. All because I was tired of living in his shadow. But, I'm not ready yet. I need Osamu's guidance! The shadows protect you from the sharp, uncaring light.
I hate hospitals. They smell so fake and everything tries to appear bright and happy. But, it's not. People are suffering, people are dieing. Off to my side, there's a boy who looks like he's around my age. He has spikey cinnamon hair that looks like it's never seen a hairbrush and he's scribbling on a peice of paper. Look at him, he;s probably in here for a shot. I'm here to see if my brother is alive or not . It's not fair! I clentched my hands in frustration and whimpered lightly, causing the little boy to look over at me. Before he could say anything, a man who I assumed was a doctor by his uniform, walked up to my family .
" Mr and Mrs. Ichijouji, the results are back .'
My dad was holding both of my mom's hands in one of his. Slowly, he rose up to his feet and took a deep breath, before speaking to the doctor.
" Well..? "
" It's pretty bad. Most of the ribs on the right side of his body and broken and his skull hit the pavement first. He's in a comatose right now '
No!! no!! I just wanted to scream! Demand the doctor to stop lieing. My mom just broke down and started sobbing. They were hurting because of me. I sat down in the chair like a lifeless puppet. The little spikey haired boy was now drawing furiously. Iwish life was like a picture. All the parts you don't like, you can simply erase or cover over with good stuff. Instead of having to face grim reality. My head was spinning, I felt my hold on reality start to slip away.
" Daisuke Motomiya, it's time for your check up'
Numbly, I looked over at the little boy. He didn't head to the doctor. Instead, he ran over to me. I looked at him emotionlessly. " Here!" He said with a bright smile that was enough to shake me from my slight daze. Infront of me, was a picture of a large sun, that had a smiley face onit that matched his own. Below it, there was a family of people laughing. It was the best picture I've ever seen ' T-thank you, I'll make sure I never lose it' To my surprise, he shook his head and giggled. " Nu-uh! It's not for you. It's for your big brother. I hope it makes him feel better!" With out another word, he scampered off towards the doctor. I sat there stunned. Here a stranger who I had been so judgemental towards, went out of his way to comfort another stranger. I could feel a smile tug at my lips. Maybe life isn't so bad after all.
