Note: This is the first time I am writing star wars and this is my second story. So try not to be harsh.

I have left things vague that I didn't want to go into.

Hero with no fear! General! Son of the suns! Now a prisoner! For what! For whom! Clovis, of all! For that traitor. Anakin paced around in the dark cell. He shouldn't be here. He should be out there, among the stars. The room would end in five steps, and it was getting on Anakin's nerves.

The sense of betrayal and abandonment was making his blood boil. But why was he so surprised? Jedi hadn't taken ten minutes before throwing Ahsoka in front of those corrupt wolves, and they made their feelings about him clear the first time he met them. And Obi-wan! The perfect Jedi. The code and Jedi council had always been more important to him than personal feelings. He had sat there and watched as Ahsoka was thrown into the fray.

Sure, he lost control. He shouldn't have done that, but how dare that scum force himself on Padme. Padme! How could she abandon him like this? He didn't care if he wasn't a Jedi anymore. He didn't care if his marriage was no longer a secret. He wanted to scream about it from the top of the Jedi temple. But Padme! He always thought that Padme would stand with him no matter what, but she chose to betray him for Clovis.

Never in his life, he had felt so alone. When he left his mother, he thought he would return, only to be told it wouldn't happen. Still, he had comfort in knowing someone out there loved and cared for him. His mother! Padme! His relationship with Obi-wan didn't start off as great, and sure he kept some bitterness in his heart that was primarily for the Jedi council, so that touched their golden boy as well. Their relationship got better and more so during the war. But Obi-Wan was a Jedi through and through. He would never go against the code. He might have kept quiet as long as things were in the dark even if he suspected something but if it came to choosing between Anakin and code and the council, well...not everyone is Qui-Gon. Anakin fell on his cot defeated. Now he was all alone in this dark cell. No mother! No Padme! No Oi-Wan!

"Anakin!"

That voice Anakin's eyes snapped toward the cell door. Of course, there was someone!

"My boy! Are you alright?"

Seeing that kind and comforting smile, Anakin felt relief as his muscles relaxed. "Chancellor, what are you doing here?"

"Why wouldn't I be here! I was worried about you?" The kind old man sat on his cot and put a comforting hand on his shoulder, "Do not despair. This time will pass, my boy!"

Anakin sighed, "I...I feel so. . ."

"Lost!" the chancellor offered, "Very understandable, and so were your actions. No this that I am here for you!"

A smile tugged on Anakin's face for the first time in twenty-four hours. It was so refreshing, "Thank you, chancellor!"

"So you and senator are married!"

The smile dropped. Anakin didn't want the chancellor to think he was betrayed by the boy he was so kind with. "Chancellor. . .I. . ."

"No that I don't hold anything against you! You kept your secret and and I understand it was important." The chancellor removed his hand from Anakin's shoulder and crossed his fingers. "We all want to keep things that may turn people against us even though it's people who are wrong!"

The grateful smile was back on Anakin's face. "Thank you!"

"though, I am a bit disappointed in senator!" The chancellor stated, "I thought she would have stood with you. After all, you aren't just her husband but you also saved our planet. Not to mention the fact that you gave her shelter on Tatooine. I thought she would have had more concern."

Anakin didn't know what to say. The chancellor didn't just understand him but was actually taking his side. Once again, why was he so surprised. The chancellor has always understood him.

"Then again, the galaxy is full of surprises!"

"What am I going to do chancellor? " Anakin looked around his cell with a burning hatred. He felt like he is gone blind in the absence of force, "I would go made here."

"Patience, my boy. Patience can be a great asset. You don't worry about anything." The chancellor offered reassuringly. Getting a curious look, he added, " I am here for you, my boy. Always was and always will be! What you did was righteous. Your case is strong even if you attacked a senator. Sooner or later, Clovis will show his true colors then no one will be able to hold you here. Leave everything to me."

Anakin felt confident in those reassuring words and that kind smile. f course, he could leave everything to the chancellor. He had always been able to do what he put his mind to. The chancellor would help him, "I. . .thank you!"

The chancellor stood up, "Now I must get my leave. I will make sure you are confirmable here."

"Thank you, chancellor. For everything you ever did for me! You have the only one since my mother to go so far for me! I can never repay you!" Anakin ad a new appreciation for this man. Everyone else had abandoned him. Padme, Obi-Wan and even Ahsoka who decided to go on her own path after everything he did for her.

"Nonsense! There is no need to thank me, son!"

Things hadn't gone exactly as planned, but patience was the key, and it was always a good thing to think things throw. Darth Sidious smiled in glee. Things hadn't gone exactly as planned, but this new opportunity was far better than he could have hoped. All of a sudden, his plans were ten steps ahead. "Jedi, Kenobi, Amidala! You all just threw chosen one in my hands!" The blow light from the hologram projector illuminated the dark room.

"Master!" A kneeling Dooku greeted.

"Delay our plans with Clovis, Lord Tyranus."

"Delay? Forgive me, master, but I don't understand."

"We will let the republic and Senate trust Clovis for now and slowly further our agenda. Let Clovis take charge of banks but keep him in your claws." He will let the resentment for the Jedi and Amidala in Skywalker's heart grow until it grows into a Wroshyr tree. Skywalker was finally his.
