There were 2 things that irritated me about season 3: 3x19 and the lack of Bonnie. Also there's no kc here and Caroline burned the picture the moment she got it.
Bonnie was just driving back to her house. Today just wasn't her day: her father was on yet another business trip, her mother was turned into a vampire by the Salvatores (Stefan may not have killed her, but he still participated in the coin toss), and it just seemed like everyone was ignoring her. And the worst part was that it was on her 18th birthday, of all the days.
She entered her house and turned the lights on, only to find her house covered in birthday decorations and her favorite kind of cake on the table. Bonnie then heard a noise. "Surprise!"
Bonnie was so shocked. She did not expect this at all. Elena, Caroline, Matt, and Tyler were there along with her parents and Jaime. They were all wearing rainbow party hats and holding party poppers.
Bonnie was in awe of this and did not know what to say. She started to speak in a breathless tone. "Oh my god. What is this? When did…"
"We've been planning this for weeks!" Caroline exclaimed. Matt chimed in, "And that's not all." Rudy and Lucy walked to her. Bonnie knew they were there but seeing them once again felt like she just saw them.
Bonnie's face glowed with happiness and she ran to them for a hug. She gleamed, "I thought you guys were too busy to see me." Rudy chuckled," No business trip could ever make me miss my daughter's 18th birthday." He starts to tear up. "Dad, are you okay?" Rudy laughs and wipes his tears, "You've just grown so fast honey".
Lucy chimed in, "We also missed you like crazy Bon." Bonnie had a wide smile on her face, "I miss you guys too!" She exclaimed.
Elena interrupted, "Well what are we waiting for, blow your candles!" Everyone just looked at her as if she was possessed by Caroline, including Caroline herself. "I'm sorry, I'm just so excited!" They all laughed after that.
Elena, Caroline, Matt, Tyler, Rudy, Abby, and Lucy then started singing. "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Bonnie, happy birthday to you!" "Woo hoo". Bonnie then blew her candles and everyone cheered.
Abby was in the back and she walked up to Bonnie and gave her a hug. "Mom, you're here!" Bonnie said happily. Abby smiled at her, "I may have not been ready for motherhood & I still regret how much I hurt you in the process of running from my fears, but I will do everything humanly possible to make it up to you."
Bonnie started to cry as she held onto her mother tightly. This was truly the best birthday ever.
