ONE-SHOT

...

Very few things left Cody Martin feeling as confused as he did than on his date with Willa Fink. She was the younger sister of his friend and bunkmate Woody and came abord the S.S. Tipton to visit her brother for her vacation.

Before he even met her, Cody and his twin brother Zack didn't think anybody related to their friend would be good company but were quickly taken aback by her unexpected beauty when they finally met face to face.

She was a blonde bombshell that didn't look to have anything in common at all with her brother besides her kindness and last name. If it weren't for the latter no one would know they were even related at all.

Cody was immediately taken with her and couldn't help but try to court her after having such a harsh breakup with his former crush in Paris.

The two hit it off almost instantly and enjoyed each other's company immensely. So much so that he eventually mustarded up the courage to ask her out on a dinner date on the upper deck of the ship.

Woody didn't approve of course as was his duty as an overprotective older brother. His main reason being he introduced them to be friends and nothing more. He never expected romance of any kind to actually bloom.

Regardless of any misgivings on his part the date was going to happen.

Everything leading up to hit had been great too and everything began to shift when she wheezed into her laugh at one of his jokes. While it might've sounded weird to anyone else, Cody found it kind of cute. It was a small glimpse of the real her.

He couldn't have prepared himself for what else was to come. As they waited for their food to arrive at the dinner table, he put everything on the line. They were going to skip the awkward phase of dating where couples pretended to be perfect.

They were just going to be themselves, no holding back. They were just going to let it all out.

Cody could still remember the last thing she said before the atmosphere completely changed. "Okay." she agreed.

She gripped the table... and let a loud one rip. Apparently, she'd been holding in since she got on the boat. How, he didn't know. All he did know was that the upper deck emptied faster than he could blink.

It was just the two of them now.

Things only grew more ''interesting'' from there as the two of them began to swap funny stories. Well, Cody thought his was funny. Willa's was a lot more gross than funny.

The story went a little something like it was her birthday and while she was drinking a carton of chocolate milk, Woody made her laugh so hard it shot out of her nose and put out the birthday candles.

This must've been one of her favorite memories because she was barely holding together as she wheeze-laughed. It also didn't end there either as the cake was completely covered in two new layers nose milk and snot, but she ate in anyway.

That was disgusting.

"You so get me Cody. Don't you think we're perfect for each other?" she asked him. He thought so and part of him still did despite her story and practically begging Woody to let him date her.

Willa Fink was paradoxical, a walking contradiction. She liked what he liked and liked him, but at the same time was just as gross and ill-manner as her brother.

The surprises kept on coming too. The next thing Cody knew his date grunted and uncomfortable grunt. Being the caring individual, he was he asked her what's the matter. He never expected her to slam her bare foot smack dab in the middle the table.

"I've got this raging case of athlete's foot." she informed him. He really didn't need to see her scratching the itch. He also didn't need to see some of the skin that came off on her fingers.

He fought so hard not to vomit though he did dry heave, not that she noticed.

More awkward and not appropriate dinner conversation followed before the food finally arrived. Cody had ordered a modest salad while Willa had ordered a full plate of smoked ribs smothers in icky sticky barbeque sauce.

While he dove in his date tore into the ribs with all the ferocity and reckless abandon of a caveman... woman. Her hands and mouth were covered in sauce, and it didn't look like she'd be reaching for a napkin anytime soon.

"Cody, I think I'm beginning to develop some deep feelings for you." she spoke as she began to pick at her teeth with her nails.

Said teen couldn't understand it. Willa left him beyond puzzled. She was kind and sweet and a little bit geeky, but at the same time ill-mannered and a slob. She enjoyed his company and he enjoyed hers, but at the same time...

He was so confused. Based on what he knew about himself as a person he should want to try and break things off gently and end this date but oddly enough the thought of ending things never once crossed his mind.

Why? Why didn't he want to leave?

He wanted to say something but when he was flustered, he could become tongued tied. What left his mouth was mush that couldn't even be considered language. His face was also scrunched up too which made it look like he was crying.

"Oh, you're crying. You must feel the same way about me." she smiled.

She leaned in faster than he could blink and planted one right on his lips. She tasted of honey barbeque and smoked meat and was surprisingly gentle. He should be trying to pull away, but he let the moment play out and really took in the feeling.

His cheeks felt warm, and his heart was beating awfully fast. Maybe, maybe this was why he didn't feel like pulling away or trying to let her down easy. Despite seeing the real her, he had already developed deep feelings for her.

They eventually broke away with her blushing and giving him a smile full of sauce coated teeth. The date hadn't gone at all how he expected, and Willa wasn't completely what he expected either but that was okay.

She liked him for him and that's all that mattered.

He was no stranger to slobs also for obvious reason.

They could make this work.

END!
