"Zatanna, are you ready to go a meet the Team?" Zatara asks her daughter after picking her up from school. She has been nudging her father since she first heard about the new group of heroes, and she wanted so much to be part of it.

"I'm so ready to do this" His daughter excitement make Zatara nervous. He did not want for his only daughter to take part on the Team. Only him, Zatanna didn't have any magical abilities, whether it was for the best or for the worst, she was a normal person, or as normal a person can be. Giovanni was well aware of the dangers the girl could face being the daughter of a Justice Leaguer. So, to make up to for her lack of powers, Zatara enrolled her in multiple self-defense classes and even asked Canary to teach her a thing or two, he has taught her the art of escapism and illusion, her tactics were so good that any person could mistake them with real magic.

"Daughter, remember this is strictly a visit. I don't want you to get any ideas" The magician tells his daughter one more time.

"But daddy! They need someone like me in their Team…" The girl pulls her puppy face in attempt of making her father break…in other circumstances he would yield but Zatanna's safety was his top priority.

"Zatanna! Drop this or we are not going" The girls cross her arms and lowers her head in defeat.

"Team, my daughter, Zatanna. Zatanna, this is the Team" A shy and beautiful raven-haired girl emerges from the zeta tube. She was wearing a white dress shirt with a blue ribbon, a black blazer and blue skirt. But certain boy didn't pay much attention to the new girl clothes, he was fixed on her beautiful features and the most amazing blue eyes he has ever seen.

"Hi, I'm-"A green girl comes closer to greet the new girl.

"I'm Robin, I mean…I'm Robin" Megan was abruptly shoved to the side by the youngest member of the Team. Zatanna, due to her training, was able to hold her excitement and nervousness seeing the person she wanted to meet the most. Robin, The Boy Wonder of Gotham. She knew him through her father and the news, he was Batman's sidekick and unlike Batman, the boy had magic powers like her father.

"And this is Wally, Artemis, Conner, Kaldur and Megan" Zatanna was lost in thought that didn't hear half of the names, but she was waiting to hear them again.

"Welcome to the Cave" The Atlantean welcomes, the girl, that his Teammate just fall in love with.

"Thanks…"

"A-a-are you joining the Team?" Robin shows his eagerness and excitement of spending more time with the girl.

"This is strictly a visit although I'm sorry we missed the training…is something Zatanna could benefit from" Zatara shuts the boy down. He wasn't pleased with the obvious crush on his daughter.

"Are you guys having a psychic conversation? Because I can't decide if that's cool or really rude" Zatanna calls out the other heroes as she watches their facial expressions changing and looking at each other. Robin starts feeling like an idiot in front of her.

"Fine. We are talking about the League of Shadows…" The Team starts arguing with Zatara and Canary but Zatanna sneaks to pet Wolf. Robin was surprised by the girl sneakiness if it wasn't for the fact that he can't take his eyes off her, he wouldn't noticed her moving.

"Sorry about the private conversation…it wasn't a very good first impression, huh?" Zatanna looks up to see the nervous boy.

"Yeah. It wasn't very nice but the fact that you came here kinda makes up for it…" Zatanna was good at hiding her emotions, she was over the moon by the boy reaching out to her.

"Do you mind show me what you can do?" They turn to see the rest of the Team still discussing with the leaguers.

"My…so forward. Are you sure you don't super speed Boy Wonder?" The way she was teasing and calling him Boy Wonder make him shiver.

"Sorry, I've been spending too much time with Wally and…" She places her finger on his lips to make him stop.

"It's there a place where we can be alone?" It was her time to blush the moment she blurted those words.

"Who's the one with fast move?" The boy smirks at her.

"Excuse me for trying to be…" She was looking for the right word.

"Chalant" The say that at the same time, blushing at their obvious connection.

"Follow me" He doesn't know why but he offers her his hand and smiles once she takes it.

"Where did you bring me?" They walk for a couple minutes inside the cave to a place with subterranean lake.

"A place that I like to come when I want to be alone or to practice…" She was mesmerized by the beauty inside the Cave.

"So, no one else from the Team knows about this place…" He shakes her head no. Neither of them knows why but they feel that they can trust each other.

"I'm flatter of such special treatment" She analysis the place and can tell that from the corner of her eye that he was checking her out which, might or might not be the cause of her twirling and playing with her hair.

"Only for you. So, how do I get to see your skills?"

"By asking me out first but I can make an exception for you. What about you show me your powers first?" Robin takes the center of the space and cracks his knuckles.

"Be ready to get whelmed" Robin starts speaking in an unknown language to the raven-haired girl. The first thing that happens is that an army of him appears in front of her eyes. The next thing he does is appearing a bunch of trapezes of color blue and starts moving from one to another with such ease.

"Cool, huh?" She was impressed by his skills.

"Yeah, how did you do that? I know that you weren't speaking backwards because I couldn't understand it…"

"That's your father's thing, right? I speak in Romani…I have ancestors that many would call gypsies, I'm the first one in many generations of my family of having powers again" Zatanna looks down in sadness for a moment, something that didn't go unnoticed by the boy.

"What is it?"

"Well…you have magic powers after many generations and I'm a direct descendant of one of the most powerful magicians and I have no magic…" He takes her hand and squeezes her to reassure her.

"Hey! You look pretty magical to me" He feels the heat rising to his face and let goes of her hand abruptly.

"Sorry…that ca-" She throws herself to hug him. For some reason, his words were the right ones and make her feel a lot better.

"Don't be. Thanks, it was nice to hear that" She breaks the embrace and looks at each other's eyes for what it feels like an eternity.

"What about you show me your other talents?"

"I-I-I can't show you right now…" She stutters.

"Why?"

"Because my dad make me left my gadgets and stuff back home and the other stuff I can do is hand-to-hand combat-"

"Then let's have a sparring match. You and me"

"For real?"

"Sure. It's not my forte but I'm not bad at fighting" She raises her eyebrow.

"Then what about we make a little wager?" Her mischievous brain starts scheming.

"What kind of bet?" He wasn't sure why but her attitude makes him nervous.

"Mmm…if I win you are going to 'kidnap' me to do some patrolling"

"And if I win?"

"That's not happening, Boy Wonder but if your powers by any chance includes a crazy amount of luck…We are doing whatever you want" He smiles at that. Even if close quarters encounters weren't his thing, he still has his training under Batman and Canary.

"You have a deal, Zee" She blushes at her new pet name but she doesn't say anything to him.

"Wait! I can't fight in these clothes…" Robin was about to ask why until he remembers that she was wearing her uniform which have a skirt.

"Then what about I summon something for you?"

"You can do that?"

"I think so…maybe I can bring your other stuff here…"

"I don't think so. He locks them away under a spell, but my outfit isn't under that spell" Zatanna gives him one approving smile and Robin does his magic and changer her outfit. His jaw drops the floor once he sees her with her grey stocking, black shorts and blazer, yellow vest, white dress shirt, bow tie and black high heel boots.

"Liking what you see?" She places her hand on her hip and rest all her weight on her back foot.

"I-I-I…you are really beautiful" She blushes with his comments. She is used to getting compliments everyday but for some reason his comments found their way to her heart.

"Thanks…are you going to keep admiring my beauty or are we fighting?"

"I can do both. I'm multitasking" Even if she wasn't the most gorgeous girl he has ever seen and her smile was blinding him, he wouldn't stand a chance at her fighting skills.

"That was…" Robin was lying on the floor, and she offers her hand to help him get up.

"Easy. Are you sure that you are THE Boy Wonder?" She pulls him a little too hard leaving their faces less than an inch close.

"Taking advantage of this defeated bird?"

"Maybe" Their breathing starts to hitch as they keep getting closer and closer.

"I knew you'll be whooah- I didn't see anything" Megan goes from green to red seeing the almost kiss and she covers her eyes.

"We-we-we were training and-"

"Zatanna! First day that I bring you here and you sneak with a boy to this hidden place in the Cave! When did you change your clothes? You are grounded for life" Zatara was fuming and the only thing between Dick and his death was Black Canary holding the magician back.

"Relax, Giovanni. Robin is a good kid. I'm sure that there's a perfect explanation for this"

"Totally. He was just giving me a tour since all of you were too busy arguing"

"A-and since she has seen you and your magic up close…I was asking her for a few pointers with my magic and…"

"And since I missed training, we decided to do some on our own" It didn't went unnoticed, how the teens were finishing each other's sentences.

"I bet they did" Wally whispers to Artemis getting a chuckle from the archer.

"And your clothes?" Zatara was a little bit more relaxed now.

"He summoned them for me" Zatara takes a deep breath.

"I'm so sorry for my outburst when I didn't see you and Batman's boy…I thought that you were on your own fighting a robot or going into jail to interrogate someone" Zatanna wasn't surprised at her dad's imagination and way to upscale everything she does.

"Daddy, why would we do that?"

"I don't know Piccola, but you have to admit that you are very impulsive, and I just want you to be safe"

"I know, daddy" Zatanna hugs her father.

"Then what about we all have another training session? Zatanna is my student as well and I bet that she can give Artemis a run for her money" They keep training and fighting with Zatanna beating Artemis in combat by everyone's but Robin and Canary's surprise.

"Can I join the Team? Pleaaaaaaaseeeee?" The Zatara's were back to their home and as soon as they crossed the door. Zatanna's pleading come back to action.

"Piccola, you are not ready"

"What are you talking about? I beat Robin and Artemis fair and square in combat…my fighting skills are top notch. You heard Canary!" Zatara pinches his temple. He regrets accepting the combat training with everyone.

"No and I told you before if you keep this you are never coming back to the Cave!" With tears in her eyes and a lot of anger, Zatanna gets back to her room.

"It's not fair…" Zatanna sobs and curse her dad's overprotective attitude.

Knock* Knock*

Her thoughts and anger, gets to the side when she hears a knock on her window. She is surprised to see a red and black robin. The bird somehow looks happy and fix his gaze on the magician.

"R-robin? Is that you?" Zatanna opens her window, and the bird enters her room in excitement and starts flying around her before sitting on her shoulder.

"You are so cute…" Zatanna squeal as she pets him.

"What are you doing here?" Robin flies to her closer. Zatanna sees a light coming from where the bird went.

"I'm here to kidnap you. It was the bet and I'm here to comply" Dick tells her, but he was still binding on her closet.

"Really? That's amazing!" She tries to hold back her excitement, so her father won't hear her.

"Why don't you come out?" Zee walks towards her closet.

"Wait! I'm still getting the hand of t-this a-a-and…I well…I'm kinda naked. I need time to get my energy back before I can summon some clothes" Zee turns beet red as unholy thoughts come to her mind. While sparring with him, even if he wasn't the best fighter, she could tell that he was fit, during the wrestling she felt his muscles and the way his suit fit him like a glove was another indicator that he was strong.

"I can lend you something…I bet that you have legs nice enough to pull my uniform skirt" She snickers at her own comment.

"Hey! Not everyone can have your legs" Her comment gets back to her. Before she could do another comment, she sees another ray of light and finally, Robin comes out in his uniform.

"Aww. I was expecting to see some flesh" She hugs him.

"Ha-ha. Buy me a coffee first and then we can talk" Robin returns her embrace, and they stay in each other's arms.

"Maybe I will but after we kick some butts" She breaks the embrace and gets from under her bed a box with a utility belt and changer her gloves for a new pair that was in the box.

"Weren't your toys under your father's spell?"

"Yeah. The ones he knows about…these are extra official working tools. I couldn't risk him to know that I have these back in the Cave" The moment Dick saw Zatanna, he knew that she was trouble and seeing her gearing up, confirmed his theory but she was the most beautiful trouble he has ever experience.

"Well, let's see if you can keep up!" Dick cracks his knuckles.

"Excuse me? If I remember correctly, I wipe the floor with your Mr. Robin" She gets way to close and all the alarms in Dick's head goes on.

"That was me going easy on you…I could have turn you into an adorable and fluffy bunny, y'know?" She gets closer to him, her lips ghosting his.

"Am I not adorable enough for you as I am right now?" Dick was sure that she could hear his heartbeat.

"Aa-eeh-I-I-y" Dick's brain stopped working; he was lost in her eyes.

"No quippy remarks or comebacks?" A mystical force, aka Zatanna's beauty and personality, make him do the unthinkable and kisses her. It was so short and fast that she didn't had time to kiss him back.

"If you think that's a comeback, I'm going to show you how far off you are!" Zatanna cups his face before smashing her lips on his. This kiss was far longer and sweeter than his kiss. She loves her hands from his cheeks to encircle his neck and his hands makes their way to her waist.

"We need to practice more but first let's catch some bad guys" Zatanna pulls her grapple gun and makes her way to the city and Robin follows her with his magical trapezes, swinging from one to the other.
