Two days before Leo was about to be saved*
As Donnie, Raph, Splinter, April, and Casey made it safely home, their was nothing to do but cry. Splinter was ugly crying, with a whole river of salty water sprinting down his face. Raph was there to support his Dad, but still processing the roller-coaster that had unfolded three hours ago himself.
Donnie however, wasn't do so well either, but decided to waste all of his remaining tears on building a 'clone' for his lost brother, in an attempt to keep his presence alive.
"Come on, dammit why won't you work!" Shouted Donatello out of pure frustration, clenching his fist and smacking the desk. Don cried even more tears and at that rate, it would be a sign for anyone to stop- but not Donnie. He would go weeks, months and years just for his brother's memories to live on.
Meanwhile, Raph suddenly remembered about his youngest brother- Mikey.
"Oh crap! Mikey! Paps, stay here. April and Casey can help you out right? Donatello I'm going to find Mikey are you coming?"
"No." Donnie replied bluntly.
So off Raphael went, on an attempt to find Mikey.
Raph thought "We left him at Staten Island, he must still be there. Ain't no way he went onto the streets."
What Raph thought was right. His brother was still there, three hours later, at seven o'clock in the morning, trying to open the portal for Leo.
"Mikey! Come back home man! You need food!"
Michael couldn't care less about food, as his brother was his top priority.
"No. I need to make that bloody portal for Leo!"
"Fine I'll bring you food then!" Raph ran back home, comforted his Dad for a few minutes, and came back with meat lovers pizza.
"Are you going to eat it or will I have to feed you?" He asks softly.
"I'll stop for a second. Thanks bro.." Mikey let's out a soft sigh of relief, as doing the same kind of forceful pose for over three hours hurts a lot.
They both sat there, eating the pizza, talking about all the memories they have of not only Leo, but everyone. The memories they can't make ever again.
Raph starts with "remember the time where Leo ate the spiciest pizza in the whole of Hidden City, and he was running to Señor Hueso to ask him for milk?"
"O-Oh remember when Donnie saw that beachball in the sewers and started acting like he just saw a ghost? Or the time Leo found a beach ball poster and hung it in Donnie's room, giving him nightmares? Mikey exclaimed.
"Oh man, I'm gonna miss those times. Anyway, thanks bro! I'm going to get back to making that portal and hey, could you please bring me some more food in the morning and stuff please?"
"Sure Mikey, anything for you."
They both waved goodbye to each other, and while Raph went home to think and sleep- if it's even possible after what had happened-, Mikey continued to have high hopes in getting their middle brother back.
While he walked amongst all the rubble to get back to his home, Raph found one of Leo's Katanas that was shining brightly. It made Raph start to cry even harder, but also made him feel happier knowing he had something to remember Leonardo by.
Raph walked with the katana in hand, blinked away the remaining tears, and moved into the sewers.
"Guys!" Raph yelled. "I found something of Leo's!"
Everyone came over, including Donnie, and huddled around his katana.
"Thanks for finding this son. It is something we shall all cherish." Splinter thanked.
Donnie strolled forward and took the sword.
"Yeah, I need this for... something." He then grabs the sword and retreats back to his lab, with no sign of coming out soon.
Everyone was griefing, and it was a sad moment for everyone who knew Leo. Eventually they informed Señor Hueso, and he didn't take so well to the news either. No One knew what to do next.
