A/N - The early part of Naruro's life (4-6) will be heavily focused on because that's where I feel we will get an excellent idea of moment of the characters along with the challenges he faces. His academy years will be (6-12) which will be its own thing. I hope you guys enjoy
Four years had passed since the day of Naruto's birthday. Due to the enemies that both Minato and Kushina had, Naruto wasn't given a surname. While certain people agreed, many believed that Naruto had every right to his heritage. But thanks to Hiruzen's law, nobody was allowed to reveal the truth to Naruto and those that did, were executed.
While most children that are born without parents, they are placed in the orphanage program. From the age of birth till six, if they plan on being a Shinobi, they remain in the orphanage until they are old enough to have their own apartment or they get adopted. For the children who wish to live civilian lives, they can stay until the age of twelve or get adopted.
The caretakers, Mr and Mrs. Urshifu, they had made sure that all the children were comfortable and wouldn't feel the burden and pain of not having parents. Until one night, four years ago, Hiruzen Sarutobi brough the infant Naruto. They showed great excitement and pride in being able to take in the boy who saved the village. Hiruzen didn't like that they knew what he was but decided to trust them.
As the Hokage left, Mr.Urshifu took Naruto and tossed him in a corner. The few week old Naruto had screamed and was kicked over and over. Mr.Urshifu declared he was a demon and for the time being, they would put up with him until he died.
Naruto cried on a regular basis from his desire to be changed, hungry, and pin he received from the beatings. When Biruzen came to check on Naruro, he noticed the boy was looking thin for a newborn and began to get suspicious about the caretakers.
Over the next few weeks, Hiruzen sent many spies in to act as people looking to adopt only to get an accurate status on Naruto. While many of them were pleased to see Naruto receive the treatment, many had their hearts broken but knew the Hokage would be furious if they failed.
Hiruzen had entered the orphanage and had nearly killed both Mr and Mrs.Urshifu but instead, he had them sent to his top interrogator, Ibiki Morino. While Ibiki was considered a sadist and the darkest person of Konoha, he showed no tolerance for child abusers.
Hiruzen had met a woman who showed great interest in taking care of children. She was aware about how the Hokage discovered Naruro's mistreatment but had her own way of avoiding being found out. Naruto would receive the bare minimum food he would need though she kept him without a pillow or blanket. Whenever she wanted to inflict harm on him, she would change him with little care for his feelings as possible. Hiruzen would continue his visits and while things seemed normal, he was still skeptical with how the orphanage was treating him.
It had been an entire year since Naruto was placed in the orphanage. The previous caretaker had also been removed after she stabbed Naruto with a kunai to stop him from crying. She was killed on the spot. The internal bruising and damage in Naruro's body was revealed on an X-Ray since Kyuubi would heal all of Naruro's wounds. He feared for Naruto and tried to plead with the council but Mebuki refused to listen to his complaints about Naruro's treatment and was able to convince the majority that Naruto being adopted would only cause problems within the clans.
Another caretaker was hired. Her name was Mrs. Misa. She absolutely loved kids and since she resides in a small town outside of Konoha, she had no clue about what Naruto contained. For the first year as the caretaker, she treated Naruto with care like the other students until one day she was tipped off that Naruto was the Kyuubi's reincarnation. She was disgusted but knew what happened to the former caretakers. She had sent Naruto down in the sellers of the orphanage where it was cold, wet, and Naruto only received one meal.
When Hiruzen came for his regular visit, Naruto was seen with the other kids though they simply ignored him. When the Hokage wasn't around, Mrs.Misa had the children bully and physically hurt Naruto. This would prevent her from being charged with abusing the boy. This continued until his fourth birthday. Hiruzen had been away to meet with the Fire Damiyo. Since he wasn't around, Naruto was kicked out.
Being four years old and having experienced the constant beatings and hatred that he received on a regular basis would bring a person's spirit down. However, nobody seemed to understand where Naruto could actually act like his happy go lucky self. To deal with the optimism and positivity that Naruto showed, many mobs would find him and beat him into the ground. At one point, both his eyes were carved along with having his arms and legs cut off. Hiruzen had returned but nobody knew who was responsible. After an entire week, Naruro's eyes were restore along with his limbs which was something nobody explain.
This treatment happened everyday for the next month until the villagers were met with a person that would change Naruto's entire life. He was currently running for his life while he begged for the villagers to stop and that he didn't do anything. Believing he was Kyuubi, his pleas fell on death ears. They had cornered him and began beating him with all of their might. Naruto had also received a barrage of fire release jutsu. Walking passed the slow, a young woman with purple hair wearing trench coat, Anko Mitarashi had seen the commotion. Similar to Naruto, she was considered the village outcast due to being Orochimaru's former student.
"What the hell is going on?" Anko called out to the mob. The people looked back told her to mind her own business unless she wants to be next. Narrowing her eyes, Anko noticed a young blond haired boy who was on the receiving attacks from the assaults and jumped in front of him. "Have you jackasses lost your mind? He is just a kid!" Anko roared.
"Shut up Snake Whore!" Said one of the Shinobi.
Anko could tolerate many things. Guys hitting on her, trying to sleep around with her, or even trying to kill her. But when it came to being connected with her former sensei, she snapped. Without hesitation, she fired off a round of pythons with deadly venom that began killing some of her targets.
A few of the civilians ran while multiple Shinobi stayed and prepared to attack Anko. As she prepared an attack, an Anbu Black op by the name of Weasel appeared and finished off the remaining. "The others that ran are being taken care of." Said Weasel.
"Weasel, we need to get him to a doctor. I can't believe the damn villagers would do such a thing." Anko said with venom in her words. The two then performed a shin shin and arrived at the nearest hospital.
Anko rushed to the front desk and demanded that the boy receive treatment. The receptionist looked at Naruto and glared.
"We don't serve demons." Said the receptionist but when a weasel placed his sword to her neck and revealed his spinning Sharingan eyes, she quickly called for Naruto to be seen.
Fearing the worst for the boy, Anko asked for Weasel to get the Hokage while she remained with him. After a few hours of surgery, Naruto was placed in a hospital bed where Anko sat in the chair next to him. Hiruzen entered the hospital room where he looked at Naruto with sadness and remorse.
"Naruto... What happens?" Hiruzen asked as he softly rubbed Naruro's cheek.
Anko stood up. "Lord Hokage, I found him being beaten by a mob of both civilians and Shinobi. It seemed Weasel and another Anbu eliminated the culprits. How could they do this to him?" Anko asked.
Hiruzen sighed. "Anko, I'm afraid Incan't reveal the reason. However, I would like to thank you for bringing him in. You may leave now." Hiruzen said.
"What's going to happen to him?" Anko asked with concern in her voice.
Hiruzen didn't like having to answer due to fearing she may not take the news well. "Naruto will be brought to the orphanage. That's all we can do." Hiruzen said.
Anko had left after being ordered by the Hokage. Naruto had woken up and like usual, they went for some ramen and brought back to the orphanage. While Mrs.Misa played off her concern and when the Hokage left, Naruto was kicked out again on to the streets.
That evening, Naruto had been chased down by a group of Ninja who were recently promoted to the rank of chunin. They were playing with Naruto by chasing him. As always, Naruto turned down the wrong ally and was trapped at a dead end. He backed up in fear at seeing the men.
"Please don't hurt me." Naruto said in a cracked voice as the tears were beginning to take over.
"Don't hurt you? We aren't going to hurt you. We are going to ripe you into millions of pieces and destroy every bit of your existence." Said one of the chunin.
They began their brutal assault on Naruto and had stabbed him in multiple spots on his body. As Naruto received each stab to his body, his cries for help were weakened.
"Come on! Let's get him boys! Triple Fireballs!" The leader of the group said as they went through a series of hand seals to release their massive flames on the four year old boy they believed to be Kyuubi's reincarnation.
Having seen the attack, Hiruzen performed a shun shin to Naruro's location. His glare and killing intent had nearly killed the three chunin. "Dog! Bring these scum to Ibiki and then have them thrown away." Hiruzen ordered. The Anbu with a dog mask appeared and nodded before vanishing with the three knocked out chunin. Hiruzen walked over to Naruto and noticed the wounds beginning to heal. "I know you can't be killed... I fear that one day, that's what you'll want." Hiruzen thought a he shun shinned to the hospital.
Seeing the Hokage with a familiar boy in his hands, Anko walked over and ignored the protest. When she entered Naruto's hospital room, Hiruzen could only give her a sad look.
"Another attack?" Anko asked as she was disgusted at Naruro's condition.
Hiruzen nodded. "Three newly promoted chunin..." Biruzen responded as he looked at the young boy.
"He can't keep going through this." Anko said while continuing to glare at the boy in front of her. To see such things happen to a child so innocent and pure had broken her to the core.
Over the next few days, the same things continued to happen and with each beating and attack, Naruto's condition got worse. What had caught Anko off guard the most, was that Naruto continued being his shot go lucky self and this was something not even she could understand. Her obsession with the boy had reached the point that she started keeping an extra eye on him.
On one night, Naruto had gone to the ramen shop that the Hokage would take him to. Since the owners, Tuchi and his daughter Ayame, felt pity for the kid, they had served him all he could eat. Of course the Hokage would cover the bill at the end of the month which has really increased their life styles.
Naruto had been eating and talking to the young girl who was around the age of ten. A man entered the restraint and when he saw Naruto, he immediately grabbed the boy by his shirt and pulled him down to the ground.
"Hey! Let him go!" Tuchi shouted as he walked over to the man but received multiple punches to his gut.
"Why the hell do you care for the demon so much? Don't you remember what he did to your wife?" The man asked.
"Naruto is innocent! He isn't the demon!" Yelled Tuchi.
Ayame came out running but was quickly knocked out by multiple punches to her face. The man then continued to stomp on Naruto's chest. Anko couldn't take anymore of it and attacked the man by sending him flying into a wall. She drew her kunai and began to slash him across his chest.
Hiruzen had quickly arrived to the scene after hearing about the commotion. His eyes met Anko's enraged glare which not even he could stand to deal with. "Anko, my office, now." Hiruzen said as he picked Naruto up and performed a shun shin. When the Anbu arrived, Anko ordered them to get both Tuchi and Ayame medical treatment and then she also shun shinned away.
Standing across from the Hokage's desk, she saw the beaten up Naruto sleeping on the couch. "Aren't you going to bring him to the doctor?" Anko asked.
Hiruzen shook his head. "I only do that so the boy can have a warm bed to sleep in. His injuries heal pretty fast form him being only four." Hiruzen explained.
"So, he's got it?" Asked Anko.
Hiruzen eyed the girl while trying to gather the words to say. "Yes." Hiruzen said with a sigh. "Lord Fourth couldn't kill it and was forced to keep it sealed inside of him." Hiruzen explained.
Anko's eyes went wide. "You mean to tell me, Lord a fourth sealed the demon inside of him?" Anko asked but before Hiruzen could respond, she noticed a photo of the fourth Hokage and walked over to it.
"Now Anko, it isn't what it seems." Hiruzen said.
"That's his son... Oh my god, that's his son. You're letting this village treat the son of Lord Fourth like he's a monster." Anko said to the Hokage.
Hiruzen sighed in defeat. "Yes... Minato is the boy's father." Hiruzen admitted.
"Why is the village doing this to him? Don't they know who he is?" Anko asked. Hiruzen shook his head. "They don't? Why not?" Anko asked.
"Anko, Minato and Kushina had many enemies. Especially in both Kumo and Iwa. Had word got out that they had a son, Naruto would be in grave danger." Hiruzen said.
"It can't be worse than the danger that he's facing in the village." Anko pointed. The two remained silent for a few moments before spoke up again. "Let me adopt him." Anko said.
This caught Hiruzen off guard. "What?" The Hokage asked.
"You heard me. I want to adopt Naruto and give him my surname." Anko said.
"Anko... You're a special jonin. I can't pull you off duty to raise Naruto." Hiruzen said.
"Let me work full time with Ibiki. God knows I pretty much do his job anyway. Naruto needs a parent in his life. Someone to care for him and treat him with love and affection." Anko said.
"Anko, please give me some time to think about this. This is something big and I need some time to think." Hiruzen said.
"Well while you're thinking, Naruto is getting closer to reaching his death bed."" Anko shouted. Anko gave Naruto one last look of sadness before leaving the office.
"I can't believe him... Naruto is Lord Fourth's son. How can the village be this blind?" Anko thought to herself as she went to her favorite Dango shop.
For the next three hours, Anko are Dango and drank sake. She didn't care how she felt. The only thing she was concerned about was the little Gaki's safety. When she left the Dango bar, the purple haired woman proceeded to walk home. On her way, she noticed a familiar blond sitting inside the ramen shop.
"I'm sorry... I didn't mean for this to happen to the two of you." Naruto said as his head went down.
"Oh please Naruto. We showed them that it takes more than a good fist to stop us. Right Auame?" Tuchi asked his daughter who nodded.
Naruto's guilt had never been so high. He could live with his own bearings but when it came to the few people he cared about, it hurt him more than anything. Anko watched the boy and couldn't believe that the injuries had gone away. She decided to keep an eye on him while he went home.
Naruto was walking like he normally did. One thing Naruto refused to do was show his fear by hiding. As he walked, a group of red eyes Ninja were leaning against a wall when they saw the Kyuubi Jinchuriki. Their red eyes with theee tomo in it were spinning.
Naruto suddenly dropped to the ground after a kunai pierced his back. Before he could respond or Anko could jump in, the five members of the Ichiah clan had begun a fast assault on the boy to prevent the Hokage from catching them. They didn't bother waiting to hear his cries or to taunt him. They kept at it until they vanished out of the area.
When Anko arrived, she was livid. The poor soul that was to encounter her at that point in time would pay dearly. She carefully picked up Naruto and reported to the Hokage's office. The sight before him made him lost for words. As Anko went to speak, he stopped her as he got up to retrieve a piece of paper.
"Sign this." Hiruzen said.
Anko looked down and noticed that it was an adoption form. "So, you aren't' going to let the civilians stop you?" Anko asked as she began signing her name along with giving Naruto the surname of Mitarashi.
"I was able to find a lope hole. You see, since you don't have a clan, your spot on the council doesn't provide any bias. Though once you accept full care of Naruto, you will be given a spot to represent both the Namikaze and Uzumaki clan along with being able to oversee Naruto's funds." Hiruzen explained.
"I don't care about that. Just have Ibiki let me work full time and we will survive with that." Anko said.
Hiruzen gave a soft smile. "No worries, I've already handled it. I even went to go as far as to build Naruto a special room at the TI building so he won't be left alone." Hiruzen said.
"Thank you Lord Third." Anko said with a bow . She proceeded to Naruto. And picked him up. "So everything has been finalized?" Anko asked and after a nod, she and Naruto vanished.
"I'm sorry Naruto... I promise, things will be different from hear on out. While you need Anko, I promise, she needs you just as much." Hiruzen thought to himself.
When Naruto woke up, he was frightened because he was unfamiliar with the place. He noticed a beautiful purple haired woman sitting next to him as she was reading a book.
"Well hello there. I'm glad you're awake." Anko said with a bright smile.
Naruto looked at her with suspicion. "Who are you and where am I?" Naruto asked.
"My name is Anko Mitarashi. You are at my, well, our home." Anko said with a warm smile.
"What do you mean? I don't live here." Naruto said as he kept looking around.
"You do now Gaki. From this day on, you're Naruto Mitarashi." Anko said with pride.
This caught Naruto by surprise.What so you mean?" Naruto asked.
Anko sighed. "I spoke with the Hokage. From this day forward, I'm your mother. You've been adopted." Anko said.
Hearing this made Naruto break down and cry as he charged at Anko. The snake mistress was unsure of what to do. She never once dealt with a child and had no idea what to do in this situation.
After a few moments, Naruto looked up. "Are you sure? You promise that you aren't going to trick me and kick me out after you beat me up?" Naruto asked with concern.
Hearing this bothered Anko. "Naruto, I promise. I won't ever do such a thing to you. I'm your mom, mother, or mommy. Whatever you want to call me. I promise that no matter what, nothing will ever happen to you again." Anko said.
This made Naruto smile softly as he gave a nod. The two sat down on the bed in the single studio apartment Anko had. They talked about a few things they liked and were able to get to know each other. Deciding to take her new son with her, she went to go buy him some food he wood enjoy along with some clothing, toys, and anything he may want.
As a special gift, Anko bought Narjro his own stuffed snake for him to play with. It was a crimson color and Naruto had fallen in love with it. They stocked up on some Dango, ramen, along with a few other things to help Naruto's growth as a child. Anko had also purchased a parenting book for toddlers. When they returned home, Anko had given Naruto a bath and couldn't believe how dirt her son was and felt guilty that she didn't do anything sooner.
After his bath, Anko cooked him up a special treat by mixing the Dango with the ramen. It was Naruto's favorite food and he continuously praised his new mother. After dinner, Anko helped Naruto with getting his pajamas on along with putting him j the bed. Anko promised that she would come to bed soon but Naruto wouldn't let go.
"I'm afraid that if I let you go, you are going to leave and I'll be all alone." Naruto said while giving a sad glare.
This broke Anko's heart. She ruffled Naruto's hair befitting giving him a kiss on his head. "I promise Naruto, I will never leave you. I never go back on my word, that's my Ninja way." Anko said and with that, Naruto fell into a deep sleep while she held the young boy close. She slowly drifted away as her mind began to wander about how things will be in the future.

- So I know things were pretty dark. However, I hope you all were able to get an idea about how bad Naruto's life was and why Anko is acting so out of character.
- The next chapter will focus on the events of Naruto's new life along with Anko learning about what being a mother is. There will also be some interacting with a few other characters as well.
- As far as kid Naruto goes, their is one scene that I will announced that's gory and considered taboo. I'll make sure to announce it along with the other stuff
