The day Mikey attempted to save Leo*

Raph left at five each morning to bring food to his poor brother Mikey, making sure to bring him all of his favourite foods. He brought it in a picnic basket, and often ate with his youngest brother to make sure he was alright. He walked himself over to the same spot Mikey has been occupying for the past two days, and making his other struggling brother Donnie, along so they can be a family. Halfway through their hike to Mikey's spot, Splinter, April, and Casey decided to tag along too.

"Hey Mikey!" Raph called. "I've got you favourites- pizza, fries, and juice! Oh and, I brought a few people with me."

April, Donnie, and Splinter ran up to Mikey, as he stopped what he was doing to take a relax. Raph put down the food next to some rubble and also ran to hug his brother.

"Mikey! I'm glad you're ok!" Donnie exclaimed enthusiastically, showing his happiest self ever since the... incident. They all sat down, catching up with what has happened the past two days.

"I've been trying to make that portal to get Leo back, you know, the one Casey talked about when we were in the subway under Metro Tower? I know I'll get him back soon, and then we can all be a happy family again!" Tears started forming on Mikey's eyes as he said that, trying to stay positive.

Raph added "I haven't really been doing much, all I've done is give Mikey food, and make sure we could get through all this. What about you Donnie?"

"Huh?"

"What have you been doing? All you've done for two days straight is be in your lab, surely you've done something?"

Don started crying "I try to make something to make it feel like Leo's here but I keep failing. I just want him back.." Raph shuffled himself towards Donnie, and hugs him.

"I know you don't like hugs" Raph says quietly to him. "But you need to know this. We will get Leo back, one way or another. But if we can't he can live on inside us. We know he did a hero thing, and we are all happy that we can actually be here without the Kraang killing everyone."

Mikey stood up, told Donnie that everything would be fine, excused himself, and then went backto trying to open that portal.

Splinter suddenly started talking. "My sons. we all miss Leonardo, but we also need to take care of ourselves. Including you Mikey. I don't want to see us all like this. He was a big loss, so before we try and save Blue, we need our heads in the game, and to heal. Raph's got a broken arm, he is in no condition to fight."

April added to the conversation. "You know what? Splints is right. let's all take a break and come back to th-"

Out of the blue, Mikey's hand started to get yellow lines on them, almost lining up with all of his veins.

"Guys!" Mikey yelled. "I did it! We're bringing him home!"
