You found me in a Walmart crying over baby pumpkins at 2am and I can't explain myself in a way that doesn't make me feel incredibly unstable

Lily hated PMS. It made her irrational, clingy and more often than not, emotional. Not to mention the intense desire to eat anything sweet, and that was the reason why she was at Walmart at 2am.

"Thank god Halloween is just around the corner and no one is going to judge me for how much candy I'm buying," she said to herself, while she was perusing the aisles. "Now…where are they hiding the mini Reeses?"

It was while she was looking for the chocolates, that she had found the baby pumpkins. Lily couldn't explain why, but the sight of so many baby pumpkins at the shelf tugged at her heart, and she felt tears running down her face.

"You're so adorable and smol and so cute, why is no one buying you guys?" Lily asked the pumpkins, sitting at the floor and hugging some to her chest. "If I could, I would bring all of you home with me."

She couldn't know how long she stayed in that aisle, crying to the baby pumpkins, but she knew it hadn't been long, when someone entered the aisle.

"Hey, are you alright?" a male voice asked her, and she turned to see a guy around her age looking at her with a weird look. "Something I can do to help?"

"Unless you can buy all of these baby pumpkins, I don't think you can do anything," Lily replied, knowing she may be a vision from hell with all of the tears.

The stranger shrugged, and sat down next to her, putting his basket on his side. "I don't think I should spend my inheritance on them, but it would be very interesting."

Lily smiled through her tears, and realised the stranger was kinda cute. Whipping away her tears, she extended her hand to him, "I'm Lily and I swear I'm normal most of the days."

The man chuckled before grabbing her hand and kissing the back, "I'm confident you're, and I'm Sirius."

"Halloween and PMS are a dangerous combination," she replied, before putting a hand over her mouth. "Oh my gosh, don't mind me."

Sirius laughed, "Don't worry, I understand perfectly what you mean. I have three older cousins, and know a thing or two about PMS."

Lily smiled and decided to resemble a normal human, stood up. Sirius followed her lead, and she felt herself blushing under his gaze.

"Want to grab something to eat? I have a feeling you would like something sweet," Sirius asked, grabbing his basket from the floor.

"You do know something about PMS," Lily giggled, before nodding. "I would love it."

Sirius smiled at her and they started walking towards the cashier; she had put the baby pumpkins back on the shelf, and they were talking while they finished their shopping. It wasn't until they were in the line, she saw Sirius grabbing something from his basket.

"I love you more than life itself," Sirius said to something on his hand. Lily turned to him and cocked her head to the side.

"You're talking to a ghost plush," she deadpanned.

"Yes, I am," he replied, hugging the plush to his chest. "I'm bringing him home with me and I'm going to love him forever. I'm naming him Hunter."

Lily giggled and decided that maybe her PMS wasn't so bad, not if brought Sirius into her life. Even if he was such a weirdo.
