Chapter 1: An Arrival In… Dreamland?

Kirby is exhausted. With Leongar… no… Leon, back to normal, the Beast Pack throws in a big celebration, truly free from Fecto Elfilis and with their leader back to normal and safely.

Kirby, his friends, and the Waddle Dees joined in the celebration too, and it was a long party which left everyone exhausted.

Kirby wanted to sleep, but…

Kirby saw it. After defeating Morpho Knight, when he turned into energy, he saw a black and malicious presence that was left behind. It quickly escaped before he could do anything.

"Huh? What was that…?"

Bandana Dee muttered, noticing it too. Elfilin too it seems.

"That was… nevermind, let's worry about that later, we need to check on Leongar!"

Indeed, right now Leongar is top priority, he hasn't moved since Elfilis was exorcised from his body.

"Kirby…?"

Kirby opens his eyes, finding Elfilin in front of him. Kirby tilted his head, seeing that Elfilin is bothered by something.

"Remember that black presence we saw after… Morpho Knight I believed, was defeated? That was Elfilis, I'm sure of it!"

So Elfilis had survived after being absorbed by Morpho Knight? How stubborn can it get?! All Kirby wanted is peace for everyone.

"That's not all, I felt that Elfilis had gotten stronger! He probably absorbed some of Morpho Knight's power after being absorbed! He even got even stronger than we had fought him before! If we let him be, with physical form or not, it will be a disaster!"

Kirby agreed, after all, Elfilis managed to take control of the Beast Pack and Dedede, though he failed to take over Meta Knight, but… with so much more power… even Meta Knight may not be able to resist again. And he isn't sure if Dedede can resist the control considering his record of him being possessed.

"Kirby, thanks to my power, I managed to track down where Elfilis went. He escaped to another dimension. I can create a portal to that dimension Elfilis is hiding in…"

Elfilin took a deep breath.

"Will you help me, Kirby? To stop Elfilis, my other half? Once it for all?"

Does Elfilin need to ask him? Of course not! He will help him defeat Elfilis! As pitiable Elfilis is, he is too dangerous to be left alone! He needed to be stopped! Once it for all. Kirby nodded.

"Kirby… Thank you! We will go tomorrow morning! Make sure to prepare all you need! Have a good night Kirby!"

Good night indeed. He needs all the good rest he can; to fight Elfilis… Kirby's eyes closed quickly, and the young puffball falls asleep.

"Of course I am coming with you Kirby! Elfilis needed to be stopped! But… Great King, are you sure you should come with us? Aren't you still resting?"

Bandana Waddle Dee looks at his king with worries. Considering he was possessed (again), defeated by Kirby and him twice, and having to defend against the horde of beasts to give them some time, he seriously deserved and needed a good rest, and it had only been three days since all that happened!

"Bandana, I need to help Kirby. He saved my Waddle Dees while I was being stupidly being controlled by Elfilis! I think I rested enough, and I want to help Kirby to defeat it once it for all! What if he tries to kidnap my Waddle Dees again and use them for labor, what if he possesses me again or even worse!"

King Dedede's eyes are filled with determination. He isn't backing down in the slightest.

"Kirby needs all the help he can get to defeat Elfilis, who, by the way, should be stronger than before according to Elfilin. I want to help him, Bandana."

King Dedede is rightfully angry at Elfilis, after all, as he said; he had been possessed (again) and Elfilis had captured his precious Waddle Dees and use them for slave labor!

Kirby has saved him and the Waddle Dees while all he did was being possessed and holding back the Beast Pack who was being controlled too! He honestly wants to wallop at Elfilis to vent this anger he held against Elfilis, and he isn't going to pass away this chance to help.

"I will help too. With the Beast Pack freed and no longer a threat, there is no need for me to protect this town for now, the Beast Pack can protect it in my stead."

Meta Knight appeared out of nowhere, deciding to join the group.

"Oh, that makes me more relieved! Thank you Sir Meta Knight! This really reminds me of the time we first teamed up! How nostalgic!"

Yes, the time when Kirby and them found the Lor Starcutter and Magolor. For the first time, the four teamed up to help Magolor. Kirby nodded too, happy to see that his friends are joining in too, as dangerous as it may be.

"I guess the team is decided then?"

Elfilin asked, receiving nods from the quartet. Kirby had packed some Maxim Tomatoes for everyone, and some food of course! Elfilin nodded, seeing that everyone had made up their mind.

"Alright, listen everyone, the portal I will create will be temporary; so as soon as I open it, I want everyone to go in immediately. I want to close the portal quickly after everyone has crossed over, in case some inhabitants in that dimension decide to cross over here, or worse, Elfilis will use it to escape again."

Everyone nodded, they needed to ensure that Elfilis cannot escape again.

"In case anyone asks, don't worry, I can open the portal to here or Popstar, so no one will be stuck there more than necessary. Anyway… I will be opening the portal soon… get ready!"

A small Kirby walks through the plain in joy. It has been a few weeks since he had defeated Nightmare and saved the whole galaxy from him.

Since then, things had been pretty peaceful other than some troubles from Dedede and his retainer, Escargoon.

"Poyo poyo!"

He saw a butterfly landing on him, and giggled in joy before the butterfly fluttered away.

"Kirby!"

Oh! It's Tokkori! The small yellow bird flew to Kirby, a bit irritated like usual.

"Fumu wanted to see you at the castle! She's occupied with her family right now so she can't pick you up got it!? Now I'm gon—"

Tokkori suddenly stopped and squawked. Who could blame him? He saw a bright light out of nowhere and then a star-shaped portal suddenly formed.

"Wah?! Careful junior! This might be trouble, likely Dedede's!"

Tokkori hid behind Kirby for protection, peeking at the portal that formed. Kirby just blinked in curiosity and confusion.

It was then, the portal shot out a bigger Kirby.

The bigger Kirby grunted in a bit of pain. The portal is a bit forceful and unstable, causing it to shoot out the pink puffball into the grassy ground.

Unfortunately, the portal shootout Bandana Waddle Dee straight into him, then Dedede, squashing the poor pink puffball.

Meta Knight was able to fly to stop himself from colliding with the trio. Elfilin, too, hovering safely.

"Sorry Kirby, Bandana, Dedede! I can't control the portal fully yet, and it is a temporary one! Are you all alright!?"

Elfilin asked, though he knows they are alright, he felt that he should still asked.

"Yeah, we have had worse. Though I hope next time you can create a portal that does not shoot us out like that."

Bandana replied, grunting in a bit of pain. His bandanna almost fell off so he had to adjust it properly. Once he collects himself, he quickly helps Kirby and his king.

"Ow… anyway… we are in… huh..? Dreamland…? Wait— What?! It looks a bit different but… isn't this Dreamland! Elfilin, are you sure he is here and we are in the right place?"

The king asked Elfilin, who had just realized where they are right now. He had seen Dreamland briefly, so he remembered something.

"Huh? This does look like Dreamland a bit! But I'm sure he's here! I can sense him in this dimension!"

Kirby manages to collect himself, also observing their whereabouts. It was then—

"Wah!? Another pinky!? Dedede and Meta Knight!? And a Waddle Dee!? Wah!?"

He turns to see a yellow bird and… a smaller version of himself. The rest turn to see the ruckus the yellow bird is making, and witness the same sight, a smaller Kirby..

"… I see, this is an alternate dimension. An alternate dreamland."

Meta Knight concluded, now understanding their whereabouts somewhat.

"This is gonna be quite a chaos, isn't it?"

Kirby remarked, having a feeling that this day isn't gonna be like their typical adventure, if it wasn't obvious already. They need to find Elfilis, and of all the places they has fled to, it is an alternate dreamland.

"Kirby is quite late…"

Fumu muttered. She has estimated that Kirby should have been here now unless he somehow got sidetracked. Her family is gonna have a party celebrating her birthday and she wanted Kirby to be there!

"Sis, should we go get Kirby?"

Bun asked, he was being impatient and he knows his sister won't go without Kirby. She really cares for him after all.

"Yeah… I am already done with the preparation, so—"

"FUMU!"

The two were startled by the shoutp. Tokkori suddenly flew from the balcony and stopped in front of Fumu.

"Tokkori? What has gotten you all riled up?"

"Yeah, calm down, Tokkori."

Tokkori gasped for breath, he was flying as fast as he could to get here. He breathes in and out, slowly.

"THERE'S ANOTHER KIRBY AND MAYBE DEDEDE AND META KNIGHT AND A WEIRD TALKING WADDLE DEE!"

Tokkori shouted loudly, though he shouted too loud, causing Fumu and Bun's ears to hurt, and making them irritated as they didn't catch on fully on what he had just said.

"Tokkori! No need to shout! I can't understand you! What about Kirby, Dedede, and Meta Knight?"

"Did I also hear you say something about a Waddle Dee?"

Before Tokkori could inform them properly. They saw something behind him. They saw an inflated Dedede, hovering in the air.

Dedede let out his breath, landing on the balcony.

"Seriously, wait up yellow bird! I can explain what's going on."

"…"

The two siblings has trouble processing what they just witnessed. Tokkori looks confused, and turns around to see Dedede.

"Eh? How did you get—"

"DEDEDE CAN FLY!?"

"Yes I can, calm down will you?"

As the three are confused and wary of Dedede suddenly able to fly, five more figures appear behind Dedede.

"Great King, please don't go ahead so carelessly! You might get possessed again!"

"Your majesty, at least wait for us so we can explain the situation properly."

"Uh… Hi."

"Poyo!"

"Dedede, seriously. I don't want to beat you up again. Don't run out like that if you really don't want to be possessed again."

Kirby, another Kirby, Meta Knight with a Waddle Dee who has a blue bandana, and a flying… mouse (?); suddenly appeared.

"Kirby, I too don't want to get possessed again, but this bird is panicking and I want to resolve this without causing too much commotion and trouble."

…

…

…

"TWO KIRBY?!"

The siblings exclaimed, shocked at the sight they are witnessing.

"Poyo!"

The smaller Kirby let out a joyful cry.

Meta Knight sighs upon seeing the commotion is going on.

"Too late for that, Dedede."

Kirby remarked, much to Dedede's irritation.

Author's Note: I basically wanted more Kirby Game/Anime crossover but couldn't find more and I wanted to make them, so… there we have it. Another Kirby Game/Anime Crossover.

Yeah, with the introduction of Elfilis and his spatial power, I feel like this is a great opportunity to use it as a way for Kirby and Co to discover a new dimension that has an alternate Dreamland, with Chaos Elfilis as an antagonist.

I apologize if some of the cast in Right Back At Ya doesn't seem to match their personality fully, as it has been a while since I watched it and I can't remember all of it. By the next chapter, I will be sure to relearn more of them.

Game Kirby doesn't speak often and convey through actions more than words in order to match his personality in the actual game if you're wondering why Kirby doesn't have a lot of lines. I apologize if you don't like this kind of Kirby, but this is my decision.

Also, I can't write an accent so don't expect to see any accent here, and this is going to be a mix of Sub And Dub's lines, though Right Back At Ya's cast's names will be Japanese.

I hope you all enjoy the first chapter of this crossover journey. I hope to finish this story and perhaps maybe in the future, create more fanfics about Kirby and perhaps other stories.
