Chapter 1: A Life Now Filled With Dinosaurs
"AHHHHH!" said a black girl in a helicopter.
"Prepare for an emergency landing!" the pilot of the helicopter said.
The helicopter had ran out of fuel and needed to land urgently. But before it could land on the ground, a rampaging Stegosaurus's tail sent the helicopter flying, and the passenger and the pilot screaming.
2 hours later, the girl from earlier woke up on the rocky, hard ground. She turned her head to see the helicopter she was in. It was badly damaged. And the pilot was nowhere in sight.
The rough landing gave the girl amnesia, so she had no idea where she was. She got up and went towards the damaged helicopter. She found a phone.
The girl scrolled through the phone until she found a picture of her and the pilot. She didn't remember, but she and the pilot were good friends. "What...is this?" she asked herself. There was a caption at the bottom, so she looked, and it said: "My bestie, Alexia!"
And there was a drawn arrow on the picture pointing to her.
"Is my name...Alexia?" the girl said. "One thing I remember, boy, do I hate amnesia."
Alexia then heard a T-Rex roar and ran away from it.
While walking around and trying to figure out where she was, she spotted some berries. Then her stomach started growling.
"Ugh! I need food. These berries look okay." Alexia said, grabbing a berry. She ate it, and it tasted good. So, she got 10 more of those. She continued to walk around. She found a baby Stegosaurus, groaning for its mom. She approached it slowly.
"Hello, little dude." Alexia said. The Stegosaurus groaned at her in response.
"Wanna be my friend?" Alexia asked. The Stegosaurus stepped closer to her and wanted to be petted, as if its answer was yes.
Alexia pets the Stegosaurus. "Aww, follow me. We'll make many memories!"
Alexia and her new pal walk through the dino-filled jungle and reach a river. Alexia notices the Stegosaurus going to lick the water. She squats down and tries some of the water.
"Omg!" she said. "This water tastes amazing!" She quickly gulps down the water. So fast, she ends up with hiccups. The Stegosaurus sounds like its laughing, which makes Alexia laugh, too.
The two get up and continue through the jungle. Alexia realizes something.
"We need shelter." Alexia said. "Maybe these sticks can help us."
The Stegosaurus helps Alexia build a shelter out of sticks, much to her surprise.
When they were done, they had finished building a nice little den.
"Thanks, Stegosaurus!" Alexia said. "What should I name you?"
The Stegosaurus groaned.
"How about...Rue?" Alexia asked.
The Stegosaurus jumped at that name. It loved the name Rue.
"Rue it is, buddy!" Alexia assured.
The pair decided to take a nap in their shelter. Eventually, a storm was passing through. Rue jumped awake at the ominous sounds of thunder, which made Alexia jump, too.
"Are you okay, Rue?" Alexia asked.
Rue responded by shaking.
"It's okay, Rue. It's just a little-"
Just then, a raptor jumped in front of the shelter, scaring the life out of Rue and Alexia. They ran through the jungle with the raptor chasing them, leaving their shelter behind. The pair soon reached a dead end, and found themselves face to face with a raptor, who looked hungry.
"This is the end, Rue..." Alexia said, hugging Rue tightly.
Just then, the raptor got shot and died. Alexia and Rue turned their heads to see a boy wearing a pouch and torn clothes.
"What? Never seen a real survivor before?" the boy asked victoriously.
