"Oh good. You're not dead. Seems like you did listen to my advice."

GLaDOS' cold voice carried through the intercom system and into the medical centre. Two humanoid figures lay in separate beds in a clean white room. Orange stirred at the sound of her creator. She awoke feeling off. Normally when she activated, she would feel refreshed. At the moment she just felt like she'd been hit by a hammer. She glanced around the room, assessing it before anything else, as she was programmed to do. Her gaze rested on an android across the room. He was lying on his side. His arm hung limply over the side of his bed. Orange froze at the sight of him. The blue logo on his gray jumpsuit was a familiar shade, as for the flecks in his white hair. The back of his jumpsuit read in bold, clear letters; "Atlas ".

GLaDOS' earlier words came flooding back to Orange and she felt dizzy. It couldn't be, right? This was just another test. A sick one, but still a test. She had to see for herself. She stood up and stumbled over to the reflective screen of an unplugged monitor. She grasped it in both hands and stared wide-eyed at her reflection. Staring back was another android, with long white hair and orange eyes. Flecks in her hair shone in her signature color as they caught the light above her. She turned to her side and sure enough her name was sewn into the back of her jumpsuit. "P-Body". She jumped back with a startled screech, waking her friend. Atlas recognized the panicked chirps of his friend, but not the face they were coming from.

GLaDOS snapped at the two.

"Now don't lose every sensible bit of code you've got all at once. You'll be fine."

Atlas glared up at the roof.

"In case you're wondering, you're not human. It's just an imitation of one. You can stop babbling senselessly like idiots now."

The two took her advice and shut it.

"Good. As soon as you can I would like you to get right back to testing while I take care of a few things. Understood?"

P-Body nodded and shuffled over to help Atlas off his bed.

"It worked." said GLaDOS delightfully.

Her large white frame turned away from the monitor she was watching and towards another. Once she'd seen the two leave the medical centre and start to head towards the testing chambers, she stopped them. A few panels shot out in front of them, and they chattered confusingly.

"Hold on. The testing I would like you to take part in is a different kind of testing. Pay attention because I'll only give you instructions once."

Atlas exchanged a glance with his friend and they both nodded.

GLaDOS chuckled softly.

"This will be fun."
