Out of the 5 Noble Clans, we are familiar with the Shiba Clan, Kuchiki Clan, and the Shihoin Clan. Not much is known for the other 2 at the moment. It's either they are really private and secretive with their business or they have already fallen from grace.
Anyway...
Have you ever wondered why the Shihoin Clan is more powerful and mysterious than Kuchiki Clan?
Kuchiki Clan is tasked with protecting the history of Soul Society while Shihoin clan is bestowed with special and unique weapons, and some were made by the gods themselves? Aside from this, whoever leads the Shihoin Clan gets to be automatically elected as the Captain of the 2nd division and the Commander of the Onmitsukido.
Talk about special treatment right?
However,
There's been an exception for these past few years.
With Yoruichi Shihoin being gone in exile, why have they allowed Sui Feng to take over the 2nd Division and lead the Onmitsukido at the same time?
Sui Feng did use the power of Onmitsukido against Yoruichi at some point. So, knowing how Sui Feng is affected emotionally, mentally, and spiritually with Yoruichi being gone, they've still collectively decided to pass the titles to Sui Feng.
How dumb are they?
