Chapter 2: The Silver Haired Half-Elf
Man: "フェルトの巣窟？ええ、その道を 2 本通り行ってください。？" (Felt's den? yeah, just go two streets down that way.)
Subaru: "ありがとう、私はそれを感謝します、兄弟。" (Thanks, I appreciate it, bro.)

((Scene Change))
Subaru and Gienah start going down the street the man told them about, trying to find felt.
Subaru: "The question is whetheru ferto wirru come bakku there... I'd ratheru catch heru before she goes tū the root house, and turrade heru the cerru phone foru the insignia."
Gienah: "Why are we looking for this 'Felt'"
Subaru: "How many times dó i have tū terru you?! she store mai friend's insignia, and i have tū get it bakku."
Gienah: "Why doesn't your friend get it back themselves?"
Subaru: "Because they don't know where it is!"
Gienah: "Then tell them where it is."
Subaru: "they'rru probaburry die if they gó there anyways."
Gienah: "How do you speak of this like you have already seen it multiple times?"
Subaru: "Maybe, I did, I won't terru you anything though."
Gienah: "I'll just shut u-"
suddenly, Gienah bumps into a woman in front of him.
Woman: "すみません、大丈夫ですか？" (I'm sorry, are you all right?)
Gienah: "ごめん" (Sorry)
Gienah notices that Subaru is staring at the woman, he whispers.
Gienah: "Do you know her?"
Subaru: "Yes, she's very dangerous!"
Woman: "*laugh* どうしたの？あなたはそんなに怖がる必要はありません、私はあなたに何もしません。？" (What's wrong? you don't have to be so scared, I won't do anything to you.)
Subaru: "私は... 私は怖くない ！何があなたにそのアイデアを与えましたか?" (I... I'm not scared! What gave you that idea?)

the woman walks past Subaru, as if nothing has happened.

suddenly, the woman turns around and stares at Subaru's face

finally, the woman walks away, while Subaru and Gienah release a sigh of relieve.
after a few more minutes of walking, the duo finally arrives at felt's den.
Subaru: "Someone actsuarry rives here?"
Gienah: "You expected her to have some kind of fancy house?"
Subaru: "Ersa hasn't been arready here and turrashed it, has she?"
Gienah: "I'm not sure who Elsa is, but they probably haven't."
Subaru: "I-Itsu fine, i'm sure. I don't smerru burrood. It does smerru rike garbage, though."
Gienah: "Lets just start looking for the Insignia."
and so, Subaru and Gienah looked for the Insignia in Felt's den, but it wouldn't be this easy for them, a grand adventure awaits them.
?: "他人の家をのぞいて、何をしていると思いますか？" (What do you think you're doing, peeking into someone's house?)
Gienah leans to Subaru and whispers, "Is that felt?"
suddenly, the girl pulls out a dagger and points it at Subaru.
Felt: "申し訳ありませんが、盗む価値のあるものは何もありません。失せろ！" (Sorry, but there's nothing worth stealing there. Beat it!)
Subaru: "いいえ、待ってください！それは私がやっていたことではありません！" (No, wait! That's not what I was doing!)
Felt: "うるさい！議論しないでください！" (Shut up! Don't argue!)
the girl slashes her dagger at Subaru, who dodged it, trying not to hurt her.
Subaru: "おっと、やめて！" (Whoa, stop!)
Subaru was dodging the girl, Felt's slashes. It's the first time Gienah sees him like this.
Subaru: "落ち着け！今は戦う時じゃない！暗くなる前に―" (Calm down! This is no time to fight! Before it gets dark-)
Felt pushes Subaru to the wall, and attempts to behead him, but Subaru's head slipped by a hair, quite literally.
Felt: "暗くなる前に行ったほうがいいよ！" (Before it gets dark, you better be gone!)
Subaru: "私はあなたに言った、あなたはそれをすべて間違っている！" (I told you, you've got it all wrong!)
Gienah: "Subaru just tell her we're here to buy the Insignia from her."
Subaru replies, while dodging another attack from Felt: "gureat idea, why haven't i thought of that!"
Felt: "おしゃべりはやめて、二人とも立ち去れ！" (Stop talking and go away you two!)
the girl kicks Subaru's face, but Subaru caught her leg.
Subaru: "聞いてください、フェルト！大事な用事で会いに来ました！" (Please, hear me out, Felt! We came to see you on important business!)
she pushes Subaru to the ground, and points her dagger to his neck.
Felt: "どうして私の名前を知っているの？最初にそう言うべきだった。" (How do you know my name, you want me to steal something for you? You should've said so in the first place.)
Subaru: "いきなり攻撃したのはお前だ！ご存知のように、これはあなたが実行している貪欲なビジネスです!棒指が自慢!?" (You're the one who attacked me right off the bat! You know, this is a greedy business you're running! Do you pride yourself on your stick fingers!?)
the girl sheathes her dagger, and looks at Subaru.
Felt: "どう生きていくかが全てです。これがなければ、体を売るしかない。それで、私とあなたのビジネスは何ですか？" (It's all a matter of how to stay alive. If not for this, I'd have no choice but to sell my body. So, what's your business with me?)
Subaru: "一つ欲しいのは、あなたが盗んだインシグニアを今すぐここで買い取りたいということです。" (There's one thing I want, I want to buy the Insignia you stole, right here and now.)
Felt: "あなたは私のクライアントとは関係ありません。あなたはビジネスのライバルですか？" (You're not associated with my client. Are you a business rival?)
Subaru: "彼女をライバルと呼ぶか、両親を殺した者と呼ぶか、あるいは私を殺した者と呼ぶか。" (Call her a rival, or call her the one who killed my parents... Or the one who killed me, even.)

Subaru pulls out his cell phone and takes a photo of Felt.
Subaru: "それがメティアの力だ！一瞬を切り取って留める、唯一無二のアイテムです。それで、どうですか？" (That is the power of a metia! It's a one of a kind item that can capture and freeze a moment in time. So, how about it?)
he shows Felt the photo, to which she replies: "あなたは嘘をついていないようです。しかし、それは私であるはずですか？私はそれよりもきれいです。" (You don't seem to be lying. But that's supposed to be me? I'm prettier than that.)

Subaru begins pushing Felt, while Gienah follows behind, the group is finally going towards their final destination, the Loot House.

((Scene Change))
after a few minutes, Felt asks: "あなたの問題は何ですか？なぜそんなに急いでいる？あなたは汗びっしょりです。強く生きよ。" (What's your problem? Why are you in such a hurry? You're soaked with sweat. Live strong.)
Gienah thinks to himself, "I really should learn Japanese"
Subaru: "スラム街の人はみんなそう言う。何かのスローガンですか？" (Everyone in the slums says that. Is it some kind of slogan?)
Felt: "私をあいつらと一緒にしないで！彼らはすべて話しています。彼らはまったく強くありません。彼らは人生でけちな敗者の集まりです。" (Don't lump me in with those guys! They're all talk. They're not strong at all. They're just a bunch of stingy losers at life.)
Subaru: "それは少し行き過ぎているに違いない..." (That's gotta be going a bit too far...)
suddenly, Felt runs in front of Subaru, which makes both Gienah and Subaru stop walking.
Felt: "私はここにいる人たちとは違います。この路地裏で一生を過ごすつもりはありません！" (I'm not like the people here. I have no intention of living my life in these back alleys!)
Subaru: "そして、20 枚の聖貨で夢が叶うと思いますか?" (And you think twenty holy coins will make your dream come true?)
Gienah thinks to himself: "I have no idea what these two are saying..."
Felt: "それが私の目標に向けての大きな飛躍になることは事実です。一人だとしても、頑張れなかったわけじゃない。" (It's true that it'll be a huge leap towards my goal. Even if I were alone, it's not as if I couldn't get by with some effort.)
Subaru: "あなたが一人だったら？" (If you were alone?)
Felt: "どうでも。" (Nevermind.)
suddenly, Subaru starts smirking.
Gienah: "What're you smirking for?"
Felt: "あなたは何についてにやにや笑っていますか？あなたは本当に私を怒らせる ！" (What are you smirking about? You really piss me off!)
Gienah: "Can someone tell me what you two are talking about?"
Felt: "何言ってんの！" (What are you even saying!)
Gienah: "Nevermind."
Felt: "この子はなんで一緒にいるの？" (Why is this boy with you anyways?)
Subaru: "ご心配なく。" (Don't worry about it.)
he steps forward, and starts patting Felt's head.
Felt: "何やってんの？止まる！おい！" (Hey, what are you doing? Stop! Hey!)
Subaru: "それを機能させるだけですよね？それは私にしかできないことです。" (Just gotta make it work, huh? That's something only I can do.)
Felt: "ナンセンスなことを言いながら、感傷的にならないでください。私はあなたをかみます ！" (Don't get all sentimental while you're babbling nonsense! I'll bite you!)
the young man seems to be lost in thought, not noticing the girl's shouts.
Felt: "切るって言ったじゃん！" (I told you to cut it out!)
the girl followed her claim, and bit Subaru's hand!
Gienah: "She bit him!"
((Scene Change))
?: "うーん、これはメティアか…俺も見たことないな。" (Hm, so this is a metia... Even I've never seen one before.)
Gienah: "no shit"
Subaru: "かなりデリケートな機器ですので、お取り扱いには十分ご注意ください。 「壊せば死ぬ」という考え方でやり直しはきかない。" (It's a fairly delicate device, so handle it with care. Think along the lines of, "If you break it, you have to die,", in the sense that you get no do-overs.)
Old Man Rom: "うん。私は間違いなく感銘を受けました。これを売るとしたら、十五枚…いや、二十枚の聖貨が必要だ。少なくともそれだけの価値があります。" (Yeah. I'm definitely impressed. If I were to sell this, I'd take no less than fifteen... no, twenty holy coins. It's worth atleast that.)
Subaru: "わかった！交渉完了！さて、話が終わったら、完売記念に飲みに行きましょう！" (All right! Negotiations complete! Now, if we're done talking, let's go for drinks to celebrate a completed sale!)
Gienah: "Are we done now?"
Subaru starts walking out, ready to go for drinks with them, which is, unknown to them, only to save them from an unimaginable future.
Felt shouts: "持て！" (Hold it!)
the young man suddenly stops moving in place.
Gienah: "When are we finishing this?"
Felt: "なぜそんなに急いでいる？" (Why are you in such a hurry?)
Subaru: "人生は永遠に続くわけではありません。毎秒カウントしてください。無駄にしないで-" (Life doesn't last forever. Make every second count. Don't waste any-)
Felt: "ええ、ええ。私はそのすべてを気にしません。とにかく、なぜインシグニアが欲しいのですか？この徽章は見た目以上の価値があります。だからこそ、誰もがそれを望んでいます。言い換えれば、これは一メートル以上の値段で売れます。" (Yeah, yeah. I don't care about all that. Subaru: "時間がない！お願い、フェルト！" (I don't have time! Please, Felt!)
Felt: "物乞いは役に立ちません。私はあなたを交渉当事者として認めます。しかし、クライアントの言うことを聞かないのは公平ではありません。" (Begging won't help. I acknowledge you as a negotiating party. But it wouldn't be fair not to hear what my client has to say.)
Subaru: "インシグニアが欲しいのは、それを所有者に返すためです。" (The reason I want that Insignia, is so that I can return it to its owner.)
Felt: "は？" (Huh?)
Subaru: "持ち主に返したい！だからインシグニアが欲しい。それで全部です！だからお願い！" (I want to return it to its owner! That's why I want the Insignia. That's all! So please!)
Old Man Rom: "フェルト、少年が嘘をついているようには見えない。" (Felt, it doesn't look to me like the boy's lying.)
Gienah: "I'll just go wait outside..."
Subaru: "Gienah, thatsu probaburry foru the betteru."
Gienah walks out of the room, and out of the Loot House, and sits in front of it, waiting for Subaru to finish his 'negotiations'
Old Man Rom: "あの小さな男の子は何を言っているのですか？" (What's that little boy even saying?)
Felt: "彼にとらわれないでください。" (Don't get taken in by him.)
Felt: "彼は明らかに冗談を言っています。持ち主に返す？ばかげている！嘘をつくなら、信じられるように！だまされません！" (He's obviously joking around. Return it to the owner? Ridiculous! If you're gonna lie, make it believable! I won't be fooled!)
Subaru: "フェルト..." (Felt...)
suddenly, somebody knocks on the door of the Loot House, fear invades Subaru's eyes.
Old Man Rom: "あれは誰？" (Who's that?)
Felt: "それは私のためかもしれません。ちょっと早いですけどね。" (It might be for me. It's a little early, though.)
the girl walks to the door, and reaches out to open it, but stops when Subaru shouts: "開けないで！殺されるぞ！" (Don't open it! We'll be killed!)
Gienah shouts from outside the door: "Hey, Subaru, what happened?"
Subaru: "おー" (Oh)
Felt reaches out for the door handles, uncaring of Subaru's claims, and opens the door.
?: "あなたを殺す？そんな恐ろしいことはしない。" (Kill you? I wouldn't do something so terrifying.)
Gienah: "Hey, Subaru, I think I found your friend."
A silver haired young woman glares at them from outside the Loot House, with hate in her eyes, a boy is standing beside her.
((Scene Change))
Gienah was sitting next to Subaru, hiding behind his back, the boy thinks the silver haired woman is the friend Subaru was talking about, even though they seem hostile to him.
Silver Haired Woman: "よろしくお願いします。今度は逃げません。" (I'm glad you're here. You won't get away this time.)
Subaru appears to be thinking, he's watching the silver haired beauty and Felt talking.
Felt: "あなたは決してやめませんよね？私はあなたに言っています、もうあきらめてください。" (You never quit, do you? I'm telling you, just give up already.)
Silver Haired Woman: "申し訳ありませんが、これは私があきらめることができないものです。私の言う通りにすれば、私はあなたを傷つけません。" (Sorry, but this is something I cannot give up on. If you do as I say, I won't hurt you.)
the woman points her hand at Felt, and six ice crystals appear out of thin air around her.
Gienah: "Wow, is that magic!?"
Subaru whispers to Gienah: "Gó hide, arsó yes, thatsu magic."
Gienah goes behind the counter, next to Old Man Rom, and hides.
Silver Haired Woman: "一つだけお願いがあります。私の記章を返してください。それは私にとって非常に重要です。" (I have only one demand. Return my Insignia. It's very important to me.)
Old Man Rom: "ただの魔法使いなら引き下がらないが、こいつは面倒だ。" (If she were just another magic user, I wouldn't back down, but this one's trouble.)
Felt: "ロムじいさん、どうしたの？戦う前から負けを認めてる？" (What's with you, Old Man Rom? You're admitting defeat before we even fight?)
Old Man Rom: "お嬢様、エルフですね。" (Young lady, you're an elf, ain't ya?)
the woman blinks in response, which makes Felt freeze.
Silver Haired Woman: "正確には、私はただのハーフエルフです。" (Not exactly, I'm only a half-elf.)
Felt: "ハーフエルフ？そして銀髪で…え、あんた…？" (A half-elf? And with silver hair... Wait, are you...)
the silver haired woman waves her hand, and says: "偶然似てる！実際、それは私にとって多くの問題を引き起こします。" (It's an accidental resemblance! It causes a lot of trouble for me, in fact.)
Felt points at Subaru, and shouts: "あなたは私をセットアップしましたよね？" (You set me up, didn't you?)
Subaru: "は？いいえ、何もしていません..." (Huh? No, I didn't do anything...)
Felt: "持ち主に返すって言ったから怪しいと思ったのに！" (I thought you were suspicious when you said you'd return it to its owner!)
Silver Haired Woman: "どう言う意味ですか？二人共やってないの？" (What do you mean? You two aren't working together?)
Subaru looks at Felt, then at the woman, he appears to be lost in thought, suddenly, he smirks.
Gienah: "I don't like what's happening."
Old Man Rom: "少年よ、あなたは何語を話しているのですか？" (What language are you speaking, young boy?)
Gienah: "You won't understand even if I tell you."
Felt: "おい！なに笑ってるの!?" (Hey! What're you laughing about?!)
Subaru: "さあ、それで十分ではありませんか？彼女の記章を返してください。そして、あなたは急いでここから出てください。二度と誰にも盗まれないようにしてください。" (Come on, isn't that enough? Give her Insignia back. And you, hurry up and get out of here. Try not to let anyone steal it again.)
Silver Haired Woman: "なんで急に優しくなったの？まったくわかりません。" (Why are you suddenly beign so nice? I don't understand at all.)
Felt: "私もあなたを理解していません ！どうしたんだい！" (I don't understand you, either! What's up with you!)
Subaru continues to smirk, then looks at the silver haired half-elf, and sees Elsa behind her...
Subaru: "パック！彼女を守れ！" (Puck! Shield her!)
the black-clothed woman attempts to hack off the half-elf's head, but an ice shield appears out of thin air which saves her, Elsa jumps from behind her after ice crystals are shot towards her, and lands in front of all the people in the Loot House.
?: "それは私が思っていたよりも少し近づいていました。あなたは私たちを救った！" (That was cutting it a bit closer than I thought. You saved us!)
Subaru: "いいね、パック！まだ勤務中なのに、5時前でよかった！" (Nice one, Puck! Thank goodness it was before five, while you're still on duty!)
the man gives a thumbs up to the cat sitting on the half-elf's shoulder.
Subaru: "ありがとう！" (Thanks!)
Elsa: "精霊…精霊ですよね？ *laugh* なんと素晴らしいことか、私は今まで精霊の胃を切り開いたことはありません。 *laugh*" (A spirit... That is a spirit, yes? I've never cut open a spirit's stomach before.)
the woman smirks, and stares at Puck.
Felt: "ねえ、それはどういう意味ですか？" (Hey, what do you mean by that?)
Elsa: "アイテムの元の所有者がここにいる場合、私たちはほとんど交渉できません.ということで、予定を変更しました。ここにいる者を皆殺しにする。あなたは仕事を最後までやり遂げることができませんでした。あなたは良いゲームを話しますが、あなたはひどい仕事をします.あなたは本当にただのスラム街の住人です。" (We can hardly negotiate if the item's original owner is here. Subaru points at Elsa, and says: "フェルトは頑張って強く生きています！計画が台無しになったからといって、すべてが台無しになってテーブルがひっくり返ったと思いますか?あなたは小さな子供ですか？もっと命を大切にしろ！腹を切られてどれだけ痛いかわかりますか?!そうですね！" (Felt is doing her best to live strong! Just because your plan was thrown off, you think it's all ruined and flip tables? Are you a little kid? You should value life more! Do you know how much having your belly cut open hurts?! Well, I do!)
Gienah: "Are we dying now?"
Old Man Rom: "隠れて、少年。" (stay hidden, young boy.)
Elsa: "あなたは何について話していますか？" (What are you talking about?)
Subaru: "私は正義と騎士道に、私が世界のすべての不公平を非難したことを知らなかったのです！そして、私が「不公平」だと思うのは、あなた、この状況、そして..." (I'm in the process of letting the justice and chivalry I never know I had denounce all the unfairness in the world! And what I consider "unfair" is you, this situation, and...)

Puck flies in front of Elsa, and suddenly, hundreds of crystals appear out of thin air, pointing at the woman.
Puck: "私たちは自己紹介をしていませんよね？私の名前はパックです。少なくとも私の名前を覚えておいてください...あなたが死んだ後！" (We haven't introduced ourselves, have we? My name's Puck. At least remember my name... after you die!)
Elsa hides behind her cloak, and the crystals all shoot towards her!
Old Man Rom: "彼らは「えー」を得ましたか？" (Did they get 'er?)
Gienah: "Oh no"
Subaru: "そのフラグをトリガーしないでください、老人 ！" (Don't trigger that flag, old man!)
the smoke clears, and the woman is frozen in ice, suddenly, the ice breaks.
Elsa: "常に準備しておく必要があります。" (One should always be prepared.)
she breaks out of the ice and pulls out her blade, and runs towards the half-elf.
Silver Haired Half-elf: "精霊アーツ使いを侮るなかれ！" (Don't underestimate a user of spirit arts!)
before Elsa could stab the half-elf, an ice barrier appears in front of her, which stops her blade, green crystals shoot towards the woman, shot by Puck, but the woman is too fast for them, and dodges them all.
Puck: "少女にしては戦い慣れた君。" (You're well accustomed to battle, for a girl.)

the giant blocks all of the woman's attacks with his bat, awaiting the moment to swing.

the woman runs backwards, forcing the giant to follow her.
Old Man Rom: "どうぞ！ぐるぐる回って！" (Here we go! Round an' round!)
the giant destroys the crystals while attempting to kill Elsa, and looks up to see Elsa standing on his bat.
Old Man Rom: "え？何が-" (Eh? What in the-)

the woman prepares to hack off the giant's head, but her blade gets hit by Felt's flying dagger.

Elsa lands on the ground, successfully neutralizing the giant.
Gienah: "holy shit"

the woman continues to hack at Subaru, while he keeps blocking her attacks with the giant bat, she started standing behind him, to force the Half-elf to be unable to shoot crystals at her, finally, she gets some slashes at the man.
