Chapter 4: Betty
Subaru: "あの天井は知らん" (I don't know that ceiling.)
the young man wakes up. After being fatally wounded by the Bowel Hunter, he was taken to Emilia's home, the Mathers domain. He sits upright and inspects his surroundings.
Subaru: "お腹の傷が消えました。そう考えると彼女だったんだろうな…エミリアの治癒力か。" (The wound on my stomach is gone. Considering all this, it must've been her... Emilia's healing power, huh?)
Suddenly, the door to the room opens, and a boy walks in.
Gienah: "Oi, Subaru, you're up?"
Subaru: "Hey, Gienah, are we in emiria's house oru something?"
The boy sits on the bed Subaru woke up on, "Something like that, I think.".
Subaru stands up, "So, where's Emiria?"
Gienah: "Don't know, the only thing outside is this hallway that I can't seem to reach the end of."
Subaru: "Retsu see."
Gienah stands up and walks to the door. Subaru follows behind and opens the door.
Subaru: "This rooks rike a normaru harrway."
Gienah: "Try walking down the hallway then."
The man began walking down the hallway. After a few minutes, he passed by Gienah again, "Hm, did you turry opening any of the doors?"
Gienah: "Oh, why didn't I think of that, maybe it's because they all lead to the same room!"
Subaru: "Ret me see."
He opens the door next to the door of the bedroom, and sees a little girl sitting on a stool.
Subaru: "最初のNPC発見！" (First NPC found!)
Gienah: "Wha-"
?: "あなたはなんてひどく腹立たしい人なんだろう。" (What a profoundly aggravating man you are, I suppose.)
The young boy peeks inside the room that Subaru opened, and instead of the usual bedroom he always saw. He saw a little girl sitting on a stool in a library!
Subaru: "その冷たい態度で可愛い顔を台無しにするよ。来て、 smile! Smile!" (You're gonna ruin your cute face with that cold attitude. Come on, smile! Smile!)
Gienah: "You're being annoying, I suppose."
Subaru: "You twó wourd probaburry get arong."
Gienah: "Huh?"
?: "あなたに与える価値のある唯一の笑顔は、冷笑的な冷笑です。" (The only smile worth giving you is a derisive sneer.)
Subaru: "私が最初の試みでそれを正しく推測したので、あなたは怒っていますか？私はいつもかなり幸運な推測者でした。ゲームマスターがすべてのイベントで私を欲しがる理由は理解できますが、申し訳ありません!ところで、この場所は何ですか？" (Are you mad because I guessed it right on the first try? I've always been a pretty lucky guesser. I can understand why game masters would want me in all the events, but sorry! So, what is this place, anyway?)
The little girl appeared to get angrier by the second.
Gienah: "I have a feeling you shouldn't anger her."
?: "Hmph! 図書室と寝室を兼ねたベティの多目的ルームだと思います。" (it's betty's multi-purpose room, which serves as a library and bedroom, I suppose.)
Subaru: "トークンの応答について話します。あなたは今、誰もが夢中になっているマニュアルの女の子の 1 人ですか?" (Talk about your token response. Are you one of the manual girls everyone's into now?)
The little girl closes her book, Betty had enough.
Gienah: "Oh shit, why are you so aggravating! Subaru!"
Betty: "ベティはもう十分です。あなたにレッスンを教える時が来たと思います。" (Betty has had just about enough. Time to teach you a lesson, I suppose.)
She stands up from her stool, and walks to Subaru, which makes him back off.
Subaru: "ねぇ、どうするの？" (Hey, what are you gonna do?)
Gienah: "Kill you probably"
Subaru: "私を傷つけないで..." (Don't hurt me...)
Suddenly, the little girl touches Subaru's chest. Intense pain sprouts all over his body, making him fall over.
Subaru: "あなたは私に何をしましたか、あなたは drill loli?" (What did you do to me, you drill loli?)
Betty: "私はあなたの体からマナを集めただけだと思います。" (I only collected the mana from your body, I suppose.)
Gienah: "I told you."
Betty: "あなたが敵ではないことを確認しました。" (It confirmed you're not an enemy.)
Subaru: "Gienah stop staring and herp me!"
Betty: "Hmph!"
Gienah: "Nah bro, ain't angering that kid."
Subaru: "あなたは人間じゃないですよね？そして、私はあなたの性格を意味するものではありません..." (You're not human, are you? And I don't mean your personality...)
Betty: "気付くのに十分な時間がかかったと思います。" (It took you long enough to notice, I suppose.)
Subaru: "私はそれを取り戻します。あなたの性格も人間ではありません。" (I take it back. Your personality isn't human, either.)
Gienah: "Are you dying or something"
Subaru: "Probaburry, why don't you come overu here and herp me up?!"
Gienah: "I don't feel like it."
The little girl turns around, and says: "誇り高い高貴な存在をあなたの基準で測定しないでください、人間。" (Do not measure a proud, noble being by your standards, human.). And finally, Subaru loses consciousness.
Betty: "彼をここから連れ出してください。" (Take him out of here.)
Gienah: "*confused Gienah noises*"
Betty: "わかりませんか？彼をここから連れ出してください。" (Don't you understand? Take him out of here.)
Gienah: "Um, ok?"
The boy begins pulling on Subaru's legs, taking him to the bedroom he woke up in. After he takes Subaru to bed. He looks around the mansion, as the infinite hallway stopped being infinite.
?: "お姉ちゃん、お姉ちゃん。ゲストの1人が目を覚ましたようです。" (Sister, Sister. It appears one of our guests had woken up.)
?: "レム、レム。目が覚めたゲストは子供のようです。" (Rem, Rem. The guest that woken up appears to be the child.)

Gienah: "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS WORLD?!"
Unknown to Gienah, his adventures had just begun.
