By his estimates, Robin had been in his prison for the past twenty-eight hours. That was great: another scandal that jeopardized his life with Bruce Wayne. They'd come for him eventually- someone would have to if they'd had noticed his absence.

For now, though, Robin was caged inside the most cliché cell to ever exist- the floor was speckled light gray concrete, and every egress was covered by metal bars, rusted and sanded into a darker gray. He'd been staring at this for the last day, wondering if his captors were ever going to give him water. Trying to distract himself from this thirst, Robin put his skills to good use, listening- getting ready to escape.

And almost on cue, he could hear the faint mumbling of a certain KF, and though almost too good to be true, Dick knew it was no fantasy when he heard the word choice- "-come on time is money people! Every minute the chance of finding him decreases!"

"Chill out, Kid Mouth. We have a location on him, and that's not how hostage situations work, moron."

Dick grinned ear-to-ear and then winced- everything hurt. That wouldn't matter for long though

They came back.

"Finally, thought you guys forgot 'bout me!" exclaimed Robin. Although tired, he used his signature humor to keep up appearances. He coughed heavily then, trace amounts of blood being spat with saliva. The Team- who had all insisted on coming- reacted quickly, but the Boy Wonder was already trying to stand up, shaking, knees about to buckle. KF caught his arm, nearly vibrating through the walls.

"Dude, take it easy, did they even feed you?"

Robin shook his head curtly, much to the dismay of the team.

Kaldur pulled out his swords then, creating a small fountain which Robin drank from.

The Team was concerned, but Dick was tired, and now that he had had his fill of water, his eyelids became heavy.

"Can't believe I'm offering this," Kid grumbled, but he squatted down to Robin's height in a piggyback position.

"Get on before I change my mind," he said, but more softly, after his best friend was well positioned, "it's good to have you back."

Thanks for reading! Sorry that this one's a short one but at least the procrastination stopped?

Story notes:

-I wrote Robin with a combo of Acute Bronchitis and Pneumonia but got too lazy to develop it, so maybe I'll write a follow-up

-Ik this one wasn't super whumpy so in case of a follow-up I'll try to torture all the characters lol g
