Chapter 2: Mystery of the Protean Calendar
Randon and the man go to market space station to by cloth and weapons for the human. "I don't have money" said Randon as he realized. "Me too, what are we gonna do" said the man. "I know, we need to take a quest and get the reward money". "But where we get a quest?". "In a bar, of course".
They entered a bar and looked around. They saw a smart looking salarian in archeologist clotes looking sad near a barmen. They went to him and sat near him. The barmen came and he was a turian in a barmen costume. Krogan asked for two beers and then asked salarian "what's up". "We have discovered an ancient protean temple that supposed to contain the legendary protein calendar, but it was too deadly, so the expedition was cancelled. If only someone can get the calendar". "We can" said the heroes. "Nice, its on planed Mayado". So, the heroes go to ship an fly to the planet.
They were landed in the red Jungle. They went to the temple, it looked anchient and hi-tech simultaneously, like Zelda shrine. They entered it and went in, then they see some holls in the wall and the floor from where laser spikes start to pop out, and then a metal bolder fallen behind them and started to roll on them. "We need to run" the man said and then they run and jump and dodge over spikes. They made it to a long, thin technowooden bridge over lava pit and started crossing it but then the bolder came and broke the bridge in half. The heroes grabbed their side of the bridge and crawled up.
As they were signing in relief, suddenly giant sanke attacked. Radon punched it, but did no damaged, because the snake had no bones. The man shot it, but it barely do anything, because the snake had no organs. "What are we gonna do, it's invincible" screamed krogan. "I have an idea" said human as he got near the endge and taunted. The snake jumped at him, missed and fallen in lava and burned to death. "Hooray, now let's go" said krogan.
They entered a big room that had a tablet in the middle of it. "It must be the protean calendar" Randon said. They garbed it and suddenly an iron golum, like in minecraft, but more techno jumped from the ceiling. He roared and fired a laser that the heroes dodged. Randon ran close and punched it in the legs, and it fell. Then the human jumped on it and shot it in the face and it exploded and flung human back. "Im injured". "I will help" the krogan grabbed him.
The temple started to collaps but the portal to back out opened in the wrecktangle nearby and Randon carried the man there. They appeared in the jungle and where free then they fly back to the bar. "You did it" said salarian and healed the human with medi-gel and got the calendar. "Thanks" said the man. "Hmm, it's weird, the calendar has all dates from 40000 BC to 3 years later with various protean holydays marked on them, but the last day says end of the world". "That sounds not good" said the krogan. "We need to investigate said human". "You must, but first, take this" said the salarian and gave them money as a reward.
