Hermione never wanted the fame that came after the war, Harry didn't mind it as that was all he knew when he joined the wizarding world. Ron loved the fame however gloating about it to anyone that would listen using it to his advantage to get free tickets to concerts and quidditch games, and this caused a drift between Hermione and Ron. After the kiss in the chamber Ron kept pestering Hermione to go out with him despite her saying that she only thought of him as a friend, she eventually agreed and they ended up going on a double date with Harry and Ginny.
This was a few months after the war Harry and Ginny had been together ever since and were very happy, they talked about future and current careers, Harry talked about the auror training, Ginny talked about joining a quidditch team when school was over, however when Ron was asked he replied saying that now he had money for saving the wizarding world and the fame he never needed to work again. An argument broke out at this statement between Ron and Hermione, Hermione calling him lazy and saying she needed someone who wanted more in life and wanted to accomplish something. Ron saying she should be thankful that he even took a second look at her. This was the final straw for Hermione, she thanked Harry for having them at Grimauld place and floo'd to the Leaky Cauldron.
Upon her arrival people immediately started talking about her, she pulled up the hood on her jacket and walked out into Diagon Alley, she had no idea where she was going or what she was doing, all she knew was that she was fed up, fed up of Ron, fed up of the fame, fed up of not knowing what to do now the war was over. Tears stung her eyes as they threatened to fall, suddenly she heard her name being called, by a voice she knew all too well. She quickly went to the first store door she could see and ran in hoping he hadn't seen her and was just trying to find her instead, peeking out of the window from behind a bookshelf she saw Ron looking around before appearing to give up and apperated. She breathed a sigh of relief, turning around she noticed that she was in Ollivanders and Mr Ollivander was looking at her curiously.
"Miss Granger? To what do I owe the pleasure?" Mr Ollivander asked curiously.
"I am so sorry to intrude sir I was just trying to get away from someone." She replied hastily.
"Fans or Mr Weasley? I saw the relief on your face when he apperated, did something happen?" He asked inquisitively.
Upon him asking this she broke down in tears telling him everything that happened. After she had calmed down he made her an offer she could not refuse.
"Miss Granger I may have an idea, how would you like to work for me? Not in the shop but getting the wand woods and wand cores. It would take you away from the UK so you won't be near Mr Weasley, you'll have less fans, still some but significantly less. And it'll give you something to focus on." Mr Ollivander requested.

5 years after this at the age of 23 Hermione was still out there working for Mr Ollivander. She rarely went back to the UK only for important events such as Ginny and Harry's wedding and engagement, Neville and Hannah Abbott's wedding and Christmas with her parents who had their memories back once she found them a few months into working with Mr Ollivander. She still spoke to most people, Harry and Ginny visited as often as they could but all 3 of them had very demanding jobs, she still spoke to Fred and George (Fred's still alive, Percy died instead) they had come to an agreement that since Hermione only took dragon heartstrings when they died of natural causes that she could send them a few scales and a few dragons teeth when she could. She found it to be an unusual request however once they explained they just wanted it for a potion and a few joke items and once they promised to pay a good price for them she agreed. They would ask for help sometimes and would send her joke items to cheer her up. She saw Luna surprisingly quite a lot she and her boyfriend Rolf Scamander travel a lot looking for magical creatures, they had kept each other informed of the countries they were in so when they were in the same one they could meet up. Luna and Rolf became 2 of her closest friends, they had recently found out Luna was pregnant and decided to settle down in England, Luna returning to running the Quibbler after her father retired and Rolf becoming an assistant teacher at Hogwarts for care of magical creatures.
At the moment Hermione was currently in Bulgaria where she had met Charlie Weasley, someone she considers to be her best friend along with Harry and Ginny. She has been there for approximately 1 year now and was starting to get home sick.
"Hey Hermione you haven't seen Sebastian anywhere have you?" Charlie asked Hermione one evening while on the reservation, she was currently watching the sunset thinking of home.
"Hermione? Hello? Hermione!?" He worriedly shouted.
Hermione looked up startled and saw the ginger haired bulky man looking down at her with a worried expression.
"Oh sorry Charlie I was lost in thought, no I haven't seen him in a while, last I saw him he was in the Norwegian Rigdeback enclosure." She stated hoping to ease his worry.
"Thanks Hermione I hope he's still there." He said excitedly as he jogged away to find his boyfriend.
Hermione was the first person he had come out to, while it was fairly normal in the wizarding world to be gay you still had the occasional bigots, Charlie was terrified of coming out for so long, after 2 months of knowing Hermione he told her he was gay, after 3 months he asked out Sebastian and after 5 months he told the whole reservation. He was so happy that nobody hated him for it but he was still terrified of telling his parents and siblings. Hermione was honestly completely jealous, Hermione wished she had the courage to come out to that many people, only Charlie, Harry, Ginny, Luna and Rolf knew she was lesbian. She grew up somewhere thinking it was wrong, in the Muggle world people are killed because of it and while her parents never believed or agreed with any of it she was still scared. After traveling the wizarding world for so long she realised it didn't matter here. She could finally be herself. Charlie had Sebastian to help him through the tough times, but if something went wrong for her who'd be there to catch her.
