"Are you a gem?"

Olivia nodded. "A Red Beryl! That gem type is said to be rarer than Diamond!"

"Cool!" Mario stopped.

"What's wrong?"

"We don't know what's behind this door. We have to be prepared for anything."

Olivia nodded.

Mario opened the door. The yellow Shy Guy that had poofed Bowser was talking to Peach. The conversation ended as soon as Mario walked over to them. Peach was a gem too. She was a Rose Quartz.

"Ah, it's you." The Shy Guy said.

"You poofed Snowzer!" Olivia shouted. "You're so mean..."

"Mario!" Peach said. "You came!"

"Tah-tah! Wait a moment, Princess. I have business with this one first."

"You're not a Shy Guy, are you?" Mario asked, getting ready for a fight.

"Ah. So I've now found the clever one."

"Who are you?" Mario asked.

"Fine. If you wish to see my true form, so be it." He glew in red and changed into a look similar to Olivia.

His colors were darker. The crimson red on Olivia was a blood red on this guy. Instead of a darker skin tone, however, his was more pale-along with his hair color.

Olivia gasped. "Olly? Why would you do that to poor Snowzer?"

"Pfah. He was pathetic." Olly said. "He didn't even put up a fight."

"What did you do?" Mario asked.

"Simply what I wish I had long ago." He turned away from Mario. "Making the world the way it should be. In perfect balance!"

"Olly, no!"

"Too late."

Peach vanished and her gem clacked on the floor. Olly brought his sword away from where she once stood and picked up the Rose Quartz.

"Peach!" Mario called.

"She in nothing but this now." A dark red bubble formed around it. "Beautiful and silent. Off you go now. I have other problems to repair."

"Grr..."

"Mario, don't. You can't fight him on your own." Olivia said.

Olly stopped before exiting through the door back into the castle. "Why haven't you left yet? I'm getting quite done with you!"

"Olly, wai-" Olivia started.

Olly pushed both of them off the side of the balcony. They tumbled down for a bit before a red Shy Guy grabbed them while riding on Bowser's Clown Kart.

"You guys okay?" He asked. "Where's Lord Bowser?"

Mario held him up.

"Can I have him back please?"

Mario handed Bowser to the Shy Guy.

"Now, let's la-"

Something hit the Clown Kart's side, throwing it off-balance and sending Mario and Olivia into the forest below...
