We open on the town of Crystal Cove which has a extensive history of unexplained disappearances and other odd occurrences
This of course made the town a very popular tourist town
and today was a regular day as a older male with blonde hair was in his police car making his way to the police station this was Minato Uzumaki deputy of the Sheriff of the town
And why was he heading for the station you might ask?
To bust his son and his friends out of jail for solving yet another mystery the world threw at them
Something the Sheriff found annoying due to kids being better at his job
Minato however found it funny and didn't mind the help if it meant the job got done, as long as they didn't break the law of course
"Uzumaki!" a gruff voice yelled as Minato entered the station
a tall, middle-aged man with a buzzcut, mustache, broad shoulders and a wide jawline approached him. He was wearing a sheriff's uniform, with dark brown pants and a tan shirt with dark brown accents and a gold star-shaped sheriff's badge. His uniform was completed with brown boots, a brown necktie, and a brown western style hat. this was Sheriff Bronson Stone
"Not now Stone" Minato said as he grabbed the keys to the cells and headed to the back of the building where the cells were
"Your son–" Stone started to say before he was cut off
"Did a better job than you again?" Minato asked with a knowing tone
"No, your son is mouthing off to me again, didn't I say to teach your brat respect? stone asked with a growl
"Have you met his mother?" Minato asked with a chuckle as they approached the door to the cells
"BOOM!
before the door was sent flying off the hinges and sent Minato and Stone flying
"Cough, that worked!" came from a cell as smoke left it as a group of teenagers and their dog coughed as they looked at a soot covered blonde male he was wearing goggles which he moved from his eyes to his forehead he also had on a Orange lab jacket black tank top, around his neck was a green jewel necklace from his Grandmother he also had on orange camo pants, steel toed boots and black gloves with metal Pleadings on the back, this was Naruto Uzumaki
"Zoinks man you blew the cell door off its hinges!" a teen with brown hair a green shirt and brown hair this was Shaggy Rogers
"Rah huh" a brown great Dane breed of dog said as he nodded this was Scooby Doo or scoob to his friends
"Leave it to you to make a bomb out of paperclips and adhesive Cuz" a teen girl with lone red hair said as she chuckled this was Daphne Blake Narutos cousin on his mom's side
"Though maybe next time give us a little more warning it almost blew my glasses off." a teen girl with brown hair said as she adjusted her glasses before she adjusted her skirt this was Velma Dinkly
"Hey it gets results at least" a teen boy with short blonde hair and a white shirt said as he smiled this was Fred Jones the leader of this group
"Not again!" Stone said with his hands on his head
"Gotta love his resourcefulness" Minato said as he got up and dusted himself off"
"This mean we can go now? I used up all my good insults on the donut black hole over there, oh! and just like that I have a new one!" Naruto said as he smiled and Stone growled at this insult
they other teens and dog laughed at this while Minato led them out of there destroyed cell
"Come on, let's get you home, for solving another mystery and helping this town… again." Minato said flatly
"hey don't blame us for getting results" Naruto said as he smiled at his dad
"Explain that to your mom she's getting sick of me having to bail you out" Minato said as they all left the police station
"Well maybe you wouldn't have to bale us out if people were more thankful for our mystery solving skills Velma said with a snarky tone making Naruto smile
"Some people are miss Dinkly but I think they would like it better if Naruto didn't leave a explosion everywhere you went" Minato said as he chuckled at the fact that most of Naruto's bigger inventions had a tendency to explode
"Eh that's fair, they are works in progress after all like my-" Naruto was saying before he was cut off
"Your mecha suit inspired by Kurama, by the way your mom still wishes you'd give that fox a attitude adjustment." Minato said
"Hey just be glad he's not a food vacuum like these guys here" Naruto said as he patted Scoob and Shaggy on the head
"Hey there appetites keep auntie's restaurant in business" Daphne said as she chuckled at this
ok kids you all get home Naruto your coming with me" Minato said as he gestured to a green van in the parking lot before he threw the keys to Fred which he caught
"Thanks Mr. Uzumaki" Fred said as he and the others walked towards the van

"Come on you, your mom isn't happy you got locked up" Minato said as he dragged Naruto to his car before he put him into the backseat
"no she's mad I got caught by your boss," Naruto grumbled as his dad got into the car and started the car
"Ether way you're on dishwasher duty at the restaurant for a bit and no usong gadgets" Minato said as he drove his car
"What else is new" Naruto said flatly as this was always how he paid for when he got in trouble
they soon arrived at a restaurant that had a big sign on top that said The Rising Tide
after Minato parked the car they both got out of the car and approached the front door
as soon as they entered Naruto ducked as a salt shaker hit the wall behind where his head was a moment ago
"Ha! missed! ow!" Naruto yelled before a pepper shaker hit him in the forehead
"Hahahaha!" Laughed a orange furred fox that rolled on the counter this was Kurama Naruto's pet since he was a little kid
behind the counter was a woman with long red hair and she had her arm out after she had thrown the pepper shaker at Naruto this was Kushina Uzumaki Naruto's mother and Minato's wife
"This is how you greet someone who just solved another mystery?" Naruto asked as he rubbed his head
"Someone who solved one and got caught by that idiot sheriff" Kushina said with a scowl as she really didn't like how the Sheriff ordered her precious Minato around
"Hey I was gonna run away but that moron tazed me" Naruto grumbled as he sat at the counter
"That moron tazed my baby?!" Kushina bellowed out in a rage which caused several customers to back away
"Yep, sometimes I swear that sheriff doesn't care about the mystery solving and just likes having it as a tourist industry." Naruto said as he sighed
"well it is how the town stays afloat son" Minato said as he approached Kushina and kissed her on the cheek making her smile and calm down
"yea like a sinking ship" Kurama said as he snickered before Minato shoved a breadstick in his mouth silencing him "Hmmm" he said as he ate it
"Yeah by coming to see the things we solved over the years, Miner 49'r Captain Cutler, Alligator Ghoul although I think he was in louisiana." Naruto said as he rubbed his head
"Yea you kids solved a lot of mysteries since we all moved here when you were 8" Kushina said as she smiled at the memory
"I still remember the day we met, when I first tried my mech suit mk 1" Naruto said as he smiled at the memory
"it was made of cardboard brat" Kurama said flatly as he swallowed his breadstick
"Hey I was 8 and couldn't get my hands on cool stuff like nowadays, now the mech suit prototypes actually look like robots." Naruto explained as he had made some promises since he was a kid
"This before or after they explode?" Kushina asked flatly as she served a customer
"Trial and progress, they can't all be successes as it just means I have more bugs and things to fix on the next one" Naruto said as he smiled as he didn't mind failure with his inventons
"This coming from the guy who hooked up a slingshot to the oven to shoot pizza onto the tables" Kurama said as he rolled his eyes
"Hey that eventually worked!" Naruto yelled annoyed at his pets insults
"Then there was the time you tried a tube system to make all the finished food go from the kitchen to the table, including the drinks" Kushina said as he snickered at the mess that was
"That one worked for a while until the kids started playing on them making the food go all over the place" Naruto grumbled to himself
"And that's why your banned from using the restaurant to test your mad scientist stuff now get in the back you owe me a night of dishwashing brat" Kushina said as she gestured to the kitchen
"What else is new" Naruto said as he got up
"More would be new if you got a girlfriend" Minato said as he ate some food his wife gave him
"Yea and when that does happen your mom will be way worse then she is now" Kurama said with a snicker before Kushina took a swipe at him which he digged by jumping off the counter
"Yeah… right." Naruto said as he chuckled going into the kitchen
Kurama followed him into the kitchen
"What is it?" Naruto asked as he put on his apron rubber gloves and hair net like he always had to when he worked at the restaurant
"Oh don't think like I don't know, I heard that chuckle and your tone when they said that" Kurama said with a smirk as he jumped onto the counter next to Naruto
Naruto froze at this and slightly paled as he didn't want his mom to find out he was actually dating someone
"You say one thing to them and no more special snacks ever again." Naruto whispered to his mischievous pet
don't worry I'm not a nark…..as long as I'm well fed" Kurama said with a smirk
"done" Naruto said as he sighed in relief that Kurama wouldn't talk
"so who you dating?" Kurama whispered at Naruto as Naruto got to work washing dishes
"Velma" Naruto whispered back as he smiled
"The fat ass? ha! I knew it!" Kurama yelled before he cackled
before Naruto grabbed Kurama and shoved him into the water filled sink

Naruto was on his way to school riding his Vespa when he heard over the radio about people cocooned near the sewers
as he approached a stoplight he spotted the mystery machine and smiled as the back doors opened Velma smiling at him before he drove into it entering the van
"So coco- oh my god!" Naruto said looking at a cocooned man in the back
Kurama jumped out of Naruto's holding and sniffed it curiously
"Are you people insane, there's getting a clue and then there's stealing police property" Naruto said as he sat in the back of the van next to Velma
"Won't your dad get us out?" Shaggy asked curiously
" yea but it costs me with my mom now why do you have one of the cocoons anyway… Kurama don't lick that" Naruto yelled at his pet
"Hmm… tasty." Kurama said as he licked green gunk off his mouth
"Ret me try!" scoob said as he approached Kurama and the cocoon
"Oh god wait…" Naruto muttered as Scooby hemmed at the taste
"It tastes like Fruitmeiers" Scoob said as he licked his lips
"You would know what things taste like" Daphne said from the front seat
"It is fruitmeiers" Shaggy said as he tasted the cocoon himself
Naruto groaned at this as Shaggy talked to Daphne Velma rested her head on his shoulder
"Where were you last night I tried texting you" Velma whispered to him as she pouted a little
"mom wouldn't let me leave the restaurant until i cleaned all the dishes and there wasn't a hair of Kurama's fur on any of them since i tried to drown him in the sink " Naruto said as he looked at Kurama who was still licking the cocoon
"Apology accepted" Velma said as she smiled and held Naruto's hand "So why did you try to drown Kurama? she asked curiously
"He called you a fat ass" Naruto grumbled out
Velma scowled at this but her eyes widened in surprise "he knows?" she whispered to her boyfriend
"It's Kurama, he's like scooby but 10 times smarter and more skilled"
"Yea relax fat ass I won't talk as long as I get fed-oi!" Kurama said with a snicker before Naruto threw a wrench he kept on him at him which he ducked to avoid
"Well.. he's not wrong," Velma said with a chuckle and a blush on her face as she knew Naruto checked her out and that was a feature that stood out
"Velma I don't know how much longer I can keep doing this whole secret relationship thing" Naruto whispered to her

"It's less fear and more worry about all the teasing and the grandkids talks" Naruto said as he shook his head
"Yeah I can already hear my parents thinking of doing a combined business with us being together" Velma said as she also shook her head
"But I want to let them know, it's like we're hiding it not because of our parents but out of shame or something, which I don't get as you're at least 5 times sexier than Daphne if you'd switch out of the baggy stuff" Naruto said
"Hey you like my clothes" Velma said as she pouted
"True" Naruto said before he kissed Velma on the forehead making her smile
"He'd just like them more. They were on display. I read his journal about the time let him grope those jugs- OW!" Kurama said as Naruto hit him on the head with his fist"
"So we have a monster that's covering people in hardened Fruitmeir smoothies?" Fred said in confusion
"We can take a look after school Daphne said as she nodded
"School is directly where we're going as I know someone who might be able to give us a hand" Fred said
"sounds like a plan, you hear that Scoob? we're heading for Fruitmeirs today!" Shaggy said as he smiled at his dog
"yum!" Scoob said as he licked his lips excitedly
"How you two don't stay as balloons after eating is another world mystery" Kurama said
"metabolism" scoob said with a smile at his fellow animal
"That and all the running and screaming you do Naruto said as he chuckled
"We don't scream… that much" Shaggy said with a pout
"Should I review the videos of our old mysteries?" Naruto asked as he smiled
"We have videos?" Fred asked curiously while he focused on the road
"Yep, Velma thought it'd be a good idea so we could travel down memory lane a few times" Naruto said as he hugged Velma's shoulder a bit making her smile

after Fred had dropped off the cocooned person with the science teacher Mr Raffalo
"I know that look, you already have suspicions" Velma said as they walked back to the Mystery Machine and Naruto had a look on his face
"And you don't?" Naruto asked as he knew out of all of them Velma had the best mind for this
"What's there to be suspicious about already? We just dropped off a cocooned person put in Fruitmeirs to a high school professor" Fred said
"The fact you can ask that alone shows how odd our lives are" Daphne said as she chuckled at how Fred said this without finding it weird
"We once faced a guy who super charged his suit to be the 10,000 volt ghost odd is our normal." Shaggy said "
"I still want to take a look at that suit-" Naruto was saying before he was cut off
"No" Velma said firmly knowing what would probably happen if her boyfriend got a look at how the suit worked
"oh come on I'm not that bad" Naruto said as he waved his hand dismissively
BOOM!
everyone jumped in surprise as they heard a explosion go off inside the school
"Was that what I think it was?" Fred asked as they all
"UZUMAKI!!!!" the voice of the principal yelled from inside the school
"I probably shouldn't have left my experimental batteries in my locker huh?" Naruto said as he rubbed the back of his head
everyone groaned at this while Kurama laughed loudly at this
"So we have choices, wait for the professor to come up with something that can dissolve the Fruitmeir gunk this thing shoots, eat it, or have Naruto throw one of his gadgets at it" Fred said as they all headed back inside so Naruto could clean whatever blew up
"I vote eat, it's Fruitmeirs" Scooby said as he smiled
"It's like that time we dealt with the Cotton Candy Glob, we don't get many ghosts we can sink our teeth into" Shaggy said
"I vote with the hippy and the chow hound I'm hungry" Kurama said with a smile
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"
"That was the professor!" Fred said as everyone ran back inside and found the professor cocooned on the ceiling of his classroom while the cocoon they gave him was gone
"... Can we still eat it?" Shaggy asked only to get bopped on the head by Naruto
"Have some pride hippie" Kurama said as he rolled his eyes
Naruto rubbed his chin in thought as he and Velma looked at the cocooned professor
(Later at the local radio station)
everyone was sitting in the living room of the radio station which the DJ angel dynamite let them use as a meeting place when they couldn't use the rising tide
Freddy was in a bit of a state of guilt having left the cocoon in the Prof's care
"Anyone else find it strange we didn't find any signs of a struggle or even any footprints of when the Prof got cocooned?" Naruto asked
"Naruto's right, I mean not even 20 minutes after giving that guy to the Professor and he gets attacked? I mean if that thing was there someone would have seen it leaving, right?" Velma said
"Yea so it's probably someone nobody pays attention too Daphne said as she was starting to get it
"I think we should take this investigation to Fruitmeirs. I mean if the thing is actually made of it, the clown ice cream man has to have some connection right?" Shaggy said "
"You and the chow hound just want to eat yourself stupid Kurama said with a knowing smirk
Shaggy and scooby lightly chuckled sheepishly at this as they couldn't deny that wasn't a factor
"No, no, Shaggy actually has a point on this" Fred said as he got up off the floor
"And Frutimeirs is hiring female workers" Naruto added as he looked at Daphne
"…..No" Daphne said as she knew what Naruto was thinking

"No." Velma said as she shook her head as she knew this would require a uniform and not her sweater
"Well then… who do we know who are masters of pulling off disguises no matter how ridiculous they look?" Naruto asked as he slowly turned to Scoob and Shaggy
"oh goody Another stupid disguse that proves humans are stupid" Kurama said as he groaned
"Says the fox who dressed up as Dynomutt last halloween." Naruto said with a smirk at his pet
"….. the brat is dat-" Kurama was saying before Naruto shoved a scooby snack in his mouth silencing him
"Hey, those are our snacks" Scooby said as he pouted
"... These little puppies ain't half bad." Kurama said as he swallowed and sniffed at the box of scooby snacks
Naruto and Velma sighed in relief at the fact Kurama was now distracted by food

"Get your disguises on you two, you're going to Fruitmeirs" Naruto said as Kurama started to chase Scooby

Naruto, Velma, Daphne and Fred were sitting at a table in the ice cream parlor waiting for Shaggy and Scooby Kurama was inside Naruto's Hoodie since he wasn't allowed inside the ice cream parlor

"Please and wreck my hair? plus i am not gonna be bait " Daphne said as she shook her head
"Oh you mean like this?" Naruto asked as he rubbed her hair vigorously laughing while doing so

"Ah, I remember back when we were just a bunch of literal kids, whenever you got the chance you'd always mess up her hair" Fred said as he smiled

"Then there was all those times Daphne's butler showed up" Fred said as he took a sip of his drink

"Well we got them on" Shaggy said as he and Scoob arrived in their lady disguises
"Damn, you make a ugly women" Kurama said with a laugh

"Be sure to lock up when you're done ladies, good night." Fruitmeir said as the clown left the shop heading for home"
"Like you got it boss" Shaggy said in a bad feminine voice
As soon as the clown was out of sight Fred and the others came out of hiding and knocked on the door
a few moments later the door opened showing Shaggy
"good job guys went off without a hitch" Fred said as he and the others quickly went inside
"Like thanks- I mean thanks." Shaggy said returning to his normal voice"
"I still say half this town is stupid for falling for those disgses" Kurama said as he shook hisbhead at how Shaggy and scoobys desgsie worked
"Same" Naruto muttered as he agreed with his pet
"Like at least it worked" Shaggy said rolling his eyes as they began to take off their disguises
"Alright spread out and look for anything that can be a clue" Fred said
"I smell Fruitmeirs in this closet… like real fresh" Kurama said
"You sure your not just wanting to eat and get fat? Velma asked Kurama
your calling me fat when you have a ass that big? Kurama was saying while smirking before Velma stomped in his tail making a audible crunch sound
Naruto put his ear to the closet and gently turned on the knob his eyes widened as he could hear breathing
He held his mouth to the group and put his hands up like a monster
This made Scoob and Shaggy whimper in fear
Naruto smirked as he placed a small disk on the floor before everyone backed away
Suddenly the door got pushed down as the Slime Monster walked out before roaring in pain as it got electrocuted stepping on the disc and falling over
"Ha ha, electro traps for the win!" Naruto said with a smile as he gave a thumbs up at Fred who smiled and returned the thumbs up
"Hey there's a hole to the underground in here" Daphne said looking in the closet
"Convenient considering we're close to the bank" Velma said as the pieces were starting to come together in her head
"Alright gang, let's see who the man behind the ghoul is" Fred said as they all approached the groaning slime monster
"Yes, let's see that, wouldn't you agree, professor." Naruto said as he took off the mask showing a groaning professor Raffalo
"Professor Raffalo?" Daphne asked surprised
"But like why?" Shaggy asked
"Isn't it obvious, he wanted to frame Fruitmeir by having that hole into the underground where he could go too and from his bank heists with ease, although why the clown is unknown at this point" Naruto said
"Plus the doctor here was attacked way to quickly after we dropped off the cocoon Velma said as she shook her head
"So he slimed himself to cover his tracks" Kurama said as he now understood while Velma and Naruto nodded at him
Suddenly the door opened and Fruitmeir walked in with Sheriff jones, The mayor and Minato
"little late we caught the slime monster Daphne said as she and the others showed them the groaning professor
"I only came as my home's silent alarm system for the shop went off" Fruitmeir said
"The Teacher, I knew it, only a teacher would want to rob a bank I mean have you seen what they pay teachers around here" Minato said
"Thank you!" Prof. Raffalo said as he shook his head recovering from Naruto's trap
"Not a excuse to steal Minato said firmly as he cuffed the man
"But what about this, what did you do with this?" Daphne asked as she held up the locket she found when they went into the caves the first time
"Never saw that before" Prof. Raffalo said before sheriff Jones dragged him out of the shop
Naruto glanced at Fred's Dad seeing the locket got some reaction out of him but decided to hold back on pursuing that little tidbit
"Ok kids you did good without any real damage so let's get you all home" Minato said as he nodded at the teens
"Yep, when is this town going to realize that there are no such things as monsters… well there are but not the kind that look like it" Naruto said as they all went outside
"Yeah, yeah, get going" Mayor Jones said as he shook his head at this
"like ManI'm starving after that" Shaggy said as he held his stomach

Suddenly Naruto's phone went off and he answered it seeing as the name didn't have a name just the letter E
"Hello?" Naruto said
"You have no idea what you uncovered Mystery Inc" A male voice said getting everyone's attention
"Who is this? How did you get my number?" Naruto asked putting the call on speaker mode so the others could hear
"You may call me Mr. E, I have followed your adventures for years, ever since you first started, and I have to say I'm impressed, you all have begun a mystery centuries in the making… the truth of the Curse of Crystal Cove, hope you survive the experience" Mr E said before he hung up
Everyone was shocked at this information as they had never gotten a call like this before
"The Curse of Crystal Cove?" Daphne repeated as they had never heard about this
"Looks like things are just getting interesting around here" Naruto said
"About time I was getting bored" Kurama said with a smile at the idea of a bigger mystery
"Fred… don't bring your father into this mystery, I saw he had a reaction when Daphne showed the locket… somehow this locket means something to him" Naruto said
"Huh? maybe he knows something that can help Fred said as he scratched his head
"I wouldn't kid, considering this kinda stuff you'd be opening a jar of worms you can't close" Kushina said
Fred frowned at this as he didn't want to hide things from his dad
"Look Fred if it gets really bad you can ask him but for now keep this to yourself" Minato said as he knew Fred was a good kid and didn't want to hide things from his dad
Fred paused at this before he nodded in agreement as he could agree to that at least
"Scooby, dooby, doo?" Scooby said in confusion not knowing just what was to come

I figured since it was Halloween me and my co author SpikedTankedmaster300 would start a fic we have been planning for a bit
we have been wanting to do a fic with this for a while
has nothing to do with that Velma trailer that came out and us wanting to do this to cope Heh (looks around awkwardly)
speaking of Velma that's the paring for Naruto and nobody will be added
and no Kurama won't be a problem like how scooby was for Shaggy and Velma
though he will keep calling her fat ass so maybe a little problem lol
