Three Keys of Chaos: A Kingdom Hearts crossover
Prologue:
In Yen Sid's tower, the old wizard stared out of his study towards the night sky. He hoped that Sora and his companions were doing well on their journey. Sora shows great potential despite failing his Mark of Mastery test. Yen Sid stroked his beard wondering where the three warriors were now. "At the end of this journey, I hope the power of waking gives you a stronger heart. You'll need it, Sora, for the battle ahead." Yen Sid thought.
An unknown presence suddenly entered the room causing the old wizard to scan his surroundings. It was a cold dark presence with a playful and chaotic nature. A manic laughter soon filled the room. The old wizard stood with his hands ready to cast a spell ready to treat this new intrusion as a threat. A gust of wind blew into the room somehow extinguishing the lights that lit space. It was strange considering there were no candles. Soon the laughter died down and the mysterious entity began to speak to the wizard. "Oh, isn't this a delight to meet the sage of the stars? The keyblade auditor. The sorcerer whom Mickey Mouse studied under." In the dark room, Yen Sid waved his hands to cast away the darkness before shooting a flare of starlight wherever he thought the entity was. Once the room was cleared and visible again, darkness seeped out of the bookcase. It began to form a silhouette of a person. "Is that the extent of your power? I was hoping for a better show than old man throwing some pixie dust." Yen Sid stood his ground on full alert. Looking at themselves, the entity realized they hadn't become fully corporeal. The entity sighed at disappointment with themselves, "How rude of me to be casual with you, Master Yen Sid. Allow to correct myself." The entity began to spin and became more visible. Medium orange hair sprouted. Black and white eyes set in. A crazy sharp grin stretched across the face. Finally, the entity spun itself magically into a pink collared shirt, black pants, and a purple cloak. "My name is Ragdoll. I am a traveler secondly, and a being of chaos first." Ragdoll processed what they just said and wondered if the sentence could have gone the other way. They brushed that thought aside whimsically.
Yen Sid sensed a dangerous aura from this creature. He noticed something odd about them. Saying this was a person didn't feel right. Their body was half white and half black. As if dark and light were personified equally in this being. Studying this intruder, Yen Sid thought about what this 'Ragdoll' was. He didn't seem unreasonable, yet that grin gave off an unsettling feeling. "Why have you come here? I don't take kindly to intruders. Have you come to make the darkness consume me?" Ragdoll paced back and forth. "Oh please. I have much grander ideas than conquering worlds in darkness or bringing light to them. Taking you out would deter my 'great play' so to speak. I just wanted to present a new problem in which your students are the solution." Ragdoll chuckled as the ideas in his mind grew elaborated. Yen Sid was stood unaffected, "I see you're no more a troublemaker than Maleficent's lackey, Pete." Hearing that, Ragdoll zoomed in front of the wizard with a glare, "I'm so much better than that loser. Besides, what I do is for my amusement and exercise of power. A show to entertain myself. I've a soft spot for heroes, but a good villain can be equally interesting then again." Yen Sid asked Ragdoll what they had in mind. "Simple, I plan to throw a few worlds into chaos. All you must do is alert your proteges of the impeding danger. By chaos, I will send three keyblades to three different worlds. Whoever wields them will be corrupted by the light or the dark whichever is present most in the heart of the unfortunate wielder," Ragdoll said this with glee. "If your students can save these wielders or purify these keyblades of my design, then all becomes well. If they're too late, well I can't promise how much destruction these wielders will cause" Yen Sid processed these words, and inquired, "How does light corrupt anyone when it gives strength to fight the darkness?" Ragdoll scoffed, "Even a wise wizard of your caliber knows light can blind even the best of people. Good intentions are often followed by ruin and destruction. Why else would some worlds deem the keyblade omnious? I'll hand you the coordinates to these worlds." Ragdoll snapped his right fingers to reveal three worlds: a world where the earth is a massive lily pad, a world where the body of a demon giant lies, and a world where a house sits atop a village landscape. "Let's see if your heroes, your apprentices can really give me a good show." Ragdoll laughed and faded away from the room leaving Yen Sid confounded. He immediately sent out word to Sora and his crew in addition to Riku and Kairi. "I only hope whatever ill intentions Ragdoll has for these worlds, Sora and his friends can overcome them."
After leaving Yen Sid's tower, Ragdoll sat on cliff overlooking the ocean in another world. They took out their passport. Scanning the pages, Ragdoll was happy over the worlds where they visited over the years. They were really a deity of chaos whose title was "The Engineer". Taking an interdimensional hiatus, Ragdoll was excited on the chaos to come. On a fresh page, Ragdoll marked it with a stamp revealing an encircled crown with gold color. "Now then, who will I corrupt first?"
