The Ballad of King Elessar
Through years of toil, grim and dark
Through fire and storm and shadow black
At last, through haze there shines a spark
A hope to all who courage lack.
Reforged the shards of Narsil fair,
Now Andruil for the Elfstone heir,
Now wielding sword and slaying all
Who come to fight at Sauron's call.
The morning comes and o're the hills
The horns of Rohan heard on high.
The hearts of men, once sad, now thrill
To see the Lord of Rohan ride.
Then up from ships the Rangers rise
And over all the banner flies,
Of sable dark and shining tree
And seven stars for all men, free.
Then Aragorn, lord from afar
The king of Gondor soon to be
Comes riding forth, crowned with the star
A shining hope for all to see.
The hosts of Mordor sway and fall.
The slaves of Sauron wine and crawl
The men of Westernesse shall rise,
No line of Telcontar's shall die!
Upon his throne now sits the King,
Beside him Arwen Evenstar.
Now destroyed the dark lord's ring
And Gondor's glory shines afar!
